you know what, it must be the missing the kill crit that happens to me, or is what i notice most often. i didn't know that happened with ATGs, but knowing how often it happens on vehicles and tanks it makes more sense. ok. case closed haha.

depends on whos moving what. Paks are usually stationary while 57s are usually moving around more, so the unit that moves more has more of a chance to be ambushed by the immobile unit, duh.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Who's to say either one moves around more then the other? no one.

They are identical units, apart from the obvious AP and cloak. but they are essential used the same way.

I see what your trying to say, although you didnt infact highlight it in your argument. you essentialy say because PAK has cloak its more stationary.

I could say that the abundance of Artillery on allied side makes the PAK more mobile. i could also say Axis indirect fire, nebel and hummel will make ATGs more mobile. but this is theory crafting which is pointless.

Bottom line, they are used similarly in the same way and there is no "usual situations" for either gun. Just a random gameplay style from which playes adapt to battlefield conditions

The very best player of one of the four factions.

The dmg is way too high, dead in a couple of hits, hardly any time to move away from it without taking significant dmg if you would want to. Plus the repair options to the ATG itself are pretty limited.

The cloak feature is what says one moves more than the other. If you're using the pak WRONG you might be moving it around as much as the 57mm, but if you want to cloak, you aren't; unless they removed that change since I played.

No Mal, you dont just pick a spot and cloak and wait for 2 minutes till something comes, in the back of the line while your team is pushing up. you move your Pak guns in range of the enemy and cloak. Just like ATGs. you move in range and fire

No unit in this game is purely defensive and those that think there are such units are scrubs.

You get the same bonus by moving the Pak and cloaking before the target as you do sitting around waiting for a noob to wander into the fire cone.

Move pak, hit the "C" button on your keyboard = insta ambush bonus.

Sitting in one place with a pak is indeed a very good example of how NOT to use it.

Paks don't need to relocate as much as 57s because a jeep/unit can just pass by without noticing it, unlike 57s where you need to move it somewhere else if they see it.

I might be a scrub, but what about sandbags?

Not a "unit" scrub.

What about stationary mg nests and 88s?

MG nests are buildings.

88s are definitely a unit, though - and you can use them very much so offensively.
