T4s are prob weaker because there was a period of the game none of miss. We all whined and cryed for for uber bad ass T4s and got them, then the devs had huge balance issues. When we had wars Allies would be able to win a game with the best players in a game. Then allies would get buffed and Axis nerfed then Alies would dominate for three wars, it eventually lead to a split in development and another version kinda of EiR. Then half of your freinds were playing one, half the other. Happened in 2009. If you look at the bottom of the forums you'll see that one day there were 181 players logged on @ the same time.

I miss Bonte too. One game he brought on 3 nebels  and wiped out his whole team, I was on the other side of that game. I laughed so hard I almost cryed. We had to submit a petition to ban him. He would pull crap like that all the time.

I miss when you could see stats on player profiles, rather than just total games played. You could always measure skill that way.

Smurf detection is gross to the point of paranoia because the majority of the better players has access to tools to find out who you or someone else is in the launcher

The only difference is that in earlier EIR versions you had to do a lot of grinding before you even came close to beating high level companies, level always came before skill. Perhaps this is why you liked old EIR so much. Basically a new account was a new account, It didn't matter who the player was.

Demon - it's still a viable indicator that a person with 20 wins and 80 losses is probably a lot worse than the guy with 45 wins and 12 losses.

I miss the good old repair system on tanks tbh. It was usefull, if a little biased to the axis sde after they got heavys and super heavys.

I miss the large amount of resources we got to. Companies feel alot more restricted now. Feels like clustraphobia tbh. Were i could drop tons airbourne ATG's and Airbourne.

I miss the old EIR tbh.

It's not the lack of resources that disallows you from spamming AB and ATGs lol . Considering RRs went down from 220 MU to 180, and all the other goodies...

I miss smokaz, jackmccrack, stumpster, stuart, there were these two kiwis I played with quite a bit whose names escape atm, but I had a lot of fun playing with these people, and I'm glad I'm seeing older players popping their heads back in right now =)

Playing again after so long, I can say that i do not in any way miss the old doctrines. There are still loads of spam companies, but not having to fight 1000000 rifles/volks each game, supported by TRs or PaKs with +range or Raid Assault ABs falling on you faster than raindrops is great.

EIRR seems to be, atleast a bit, more about having combined arms, and not just spamming a single more-buff-than-the-freaking-Hulk unit type. And in my opinion, balance should seek to make combined arms coys the strongest coys.

Edit: I miss the news as alot of ppl said. And 31st, that guy was a great tactician.
