Problem with EIRR Launcher

I have just finished installing EIRR on my new Windows 7 system. I've patched COH to 2.602, and downloaded all launcher files. When Autoupdater finishes checking for files, and lets me launch, a window comes up that says:

"Autoupdater has stopped working, Windows is looking for a solution"

then it goes away and I try launching, and another window comes up

"EIRRClient has stopped working, Windows is looking for a solution"

for a few seconds, then that closes itself, and that ends there.

I have tried running as administrator, doesn't change anything.

btw tried excepting it in firewall and antivirus, still no luck

Set it to run in admin as default, restart your computer, disable firewall and antivirus etc etc

my install path is this if it is of any help:

C:\Users\Admin\Documents\foldername\foldername\THQ\Company of Heroes

(foldername=foldernames i dont want anyone to see)

Your filepath is so retarded, why dont you just have C://ProgramFiles/THQ/CompanyofHeroes? Its a lot simpler and easier if you're not familiar with complicated installs.

i guess im gonna have to do a complete fucking reinstall.... that took ages, if it doesnt work i will literally kill someone

I'm guessing the launcher doesn't like the directory I've installed it in, but why? Shouldn't any directory be good tbfh?

and what does "read added" mean?

At least i get to hear the EPIC original CoH theme music (and not be able to turn it off)

What I'm thinking is since  My Games gets put into "Documents" also, that conflicted for some reason, because I put COH into documents also. But my vCOH ran fine when I tried.

Just put games and stuff in program files, that's where they're meant to go

The files etc are fine.

You need to have all the right redist for the .net framework and XNA.

Follow the steps here and report back, in fact read the whole thread:

this is epic, did i just uninstall, and start reinstalling for no reason? well i will try all that stuff in a few hours when these damn patches finish installing

i tried searching for an XNARI, but couldn't find anything.. i remember I installed .net framework ver. 4 today, downloading XNA 4.0 now

Refer to my post saying that XNARI doesnt work.

Also, .NET framework version 4 is the incorrect version (well, for this app anyway), I believe you need .Net 1.1 and .Net 2
Cant remember, its been so long since I did the redists.

Wait why would I get an older version of .NET framework? Would they even be compatible with Windows 7?

so you suggest I download first .Net 1.1, try launcher, then .net 2, and try launcher?
