See the replay.  These combos and obvously OP 88 with officers to bat.  WTH.
So, how could this game be won by the allies?  With what was on the field?

My biggest beaf...  88 is 8 pop, is AI, AT & Arty.  Watch how the 88 blows away infantry squads + other crap.  100 Range...  88 arty seem to be way to accurate too..  Everything outranged us.  Good offmaps + officer arty drops.  Go watch.  Link below.

Watch the replay before you troll the thread.  I would like a legitimate anyasis on the specific battle.  Because, I want to know what could have been done with the shit on hand.  Not made up BS doctrine crap.

Around the 4 minute mark there was a Sherman in a good spotting position - behind a house with LMG Grens in it. You had sight on the Pak and dropped arty on it. Good. But continuing around the house, into the Pak's firing range, got the Sherman killed.

Eagleonthesky was doing pretty well trying to force a flank.

I notice most of your call ins are MG/SMG Ranger/BAR Rifleman. Pick up some tricky indirect fire items like Howitzer, Mortar, or Sniper. Try two Howis in separate platoons with Jeeps sprinkled here and there, like 3 Jeeps throughout the company. Sit the Jeeps behind shot blockers and keep them there.

with this a snips and mortars are not easy to handle, also because we have to go near their defense where they could easy rush us with inf or kt

they would take out with 88 arty very perfect the cover of the mortar or the mortar itself (atg, mg) and then rush our mortars ...

This strat is very hard to counter; I might referance the game Jstek and I fought against 4x simultaneous tigers (lmao).

1x Defensive 'doomfort', 2x uber aggro strat companies. Works without a hitch 90% of the time, and I have very little luck countering it, even with mortars. You know why? BEcause the WM defensive-based player tends to bring his own, which is better then its allied counterpart. The howie just gets rushed by the two aggro players, and in that instance usually heavy armor (and more commonly, the reward unit bullshit such as jagdtigers or whatever).

didnt watch, but i can tell you this, 88 arty accuracy leaves much to be desired, though I havent been able to use it with the officer supervision in yet...

either way, howies/smoke/team effort never fails to take down an 88, or you can always avoid it. though i suspect there were multiple 88s, which i agree, is quite incredibly tough to over come.

tell you the truth not really sure why 88 has arty in this game. It kind of fills too many roles as OP mentioned. 88 should have only line of sight, not lobbing shit over walls.
Luckily for me i havent had too many problem with 88s.

Either axis team hid behind them and lost by territory or they were being spammed and m10 to the rescue by blowing up trucks b4 being built.
So pure luck

But i imagine open field or map and 3 88s, could be a OMG FUK DIS SHIT moment.

I bring howi or calli mostly just bc of 88s though. Med station next to 88 means healing, but also prime target for arty.

1 88 isnt too hard to go against, if you organize a push. Smoke, arty, inf rush, flamers can take on the 88. But if they are protecting each other and mgs and paks and massive defense across the map. Ya thats BS.

whats probem with 3 88's? just dont use any tanks,thats almost 30 rifleman worth of pop to which 88 doesnt do all that much,smoke,flank,charge from multiple directions,take 1 then others...

Since this patch the 88 artillery will also come with some 'downtime' on the main gun. I.e it won't be able to go into artillery mode and then straight back to its main gun. (Which will allow a window of opportunity for you to engage it)
