Just a curious question - Is there any modifiers that I'm missing for BAR's against Fallschrimjagers?
I had two squads of 3 BAR Rifles firing point blank at a vet 3 squad of FJ's... They died before they could kill a man. Suppressive fire was not active at the time, so it was raw DPS going at them.
Obviously, I've learned my lesson to avoid the buggers at close range even with 2 squads worth of firepower, but the question is raised and I'd appreciate an answer.
I think the Fall's in question had the T3 for Airborne armour as well as the heroes of Monte Cassino T3 by the way.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

It seems like you are irritated because PGs melt to BARs after the armor change. FJs have soldier armor, PGs infantry

So hang on, FJ's retain Soldier armour when they get the Airborne armour T3?
I'm aware that BAR's arent too cop against Soldier armour.

They don't retain their armor. I'm quite sure they didnt have airborne armor if they lasted so long against bar fire. AB armor only works when they move

I still think its bullshit that they ignored my idea of giving you the ability to buy 2 mp44s on assult grens for half the price becouse they are weak as hell against anything exept Vanilla inf.

Gren, Firesparks said that he's got the Airborne armour T3... So either he's pulling a fast one on me, or there's a modifier that's being overlooked when FJ's get their hands on Airborne armour.
If they had Soldier armour, I'd understand 6 BAR's to the face not insta-raping them lol.

You should post the replay tbh, though monte cassino + vet 3 + green cover + extra hp from bottom t3 might do it. Now that I think of it, this is quite possible

Yeah, that's already been mentioned Kat, and I've also said that the Fall's in question had Airborne armour rather than Soldier.

Its quite possible that the bars missed every single shot. All 6 of em lol!
Seriously, concidering bars have 0.75 close range acc, combined with 0.5 acc of light/heavy cover, which is 37.5% chance to hit vs cover at close range. And combined with the vet 3 health buff/rec dmg buff, bottem T3 health buff, and top T3 rec dmg buff, its entirely possible your bars missed most of their shots.

If scatter rolls didn't exist I'd be inclined to agree... But the scatter of infantry weapons is narrow enough to make most missed rounds at point blank roll as hits anyhow unless you are on some very, very dodgy terrain.
Pretty sure the Falls in question were in light cover by the way, a bit of shrubbery or somet - So there shouldn't have been a wall soaking the missed scatter. Check the replay I posted to confirm it.
