What is the current sherm upgun pen vs other tanks?

Seems really crazy, was penetrating my panther and tiger from front with like every shot.

The parts that are important.

Sherman Upgun will kill your P4 or STuG.

It will take some health off a Panther, it will take some health off a Tiger.

2 Shermans will cripple a Panther/Tiger when used correctly and you are not properly supporting your tank.

I think the Sherman Upgun should get it's reload penalty back TBH.

And why should you get an upgrade that nerfs the tank when it already has reduced efficiency vs Infantry?  That's like saying make Skirts on P4s give them more incoming accuracy since they are a bigger, slower target.

That or raise the price. It's called balance. I mean, we could always reduce the cost of handheld AT across the board to make the skirts useful I suppose.

how are they slower?
bigger from which point of view? if you are hitting it from side,where skirt is placed,it's as big as withouth skirt,and if you are hitting it from front to skirt,since it's now wider,if you hit skirt,you dont do any dmg to tank itself.

Make bazookas semi-useful again and you'll see a lot more of that on the field.  The problem lies in the effectiveness and cost of allied handheld AT

Boys AT - Utter junk for their cost, only good against light vehicles
Bazookas - Without a doctrine buff, it's too weak to deal with tanks, even with flanking unless you got hoardes of them all flanking at once
RR - The American 'piat', great penetration and accuracy though crap vrs light vehicles like pumas due to no scatter.
Piats - The ultimate allied AT weapon, excellent accuracy vrs all vehicles/tanks/inf since the speed modifier got applied, I'd take an army of them if I could.

That being said, when said Axis guy rolls out a Tiger or higher... well, it's quite silly to throw super expensive rangers at him, Airborne have a decent chance to hurt it and run, and boys AT is well.. pissing on a bucket at that point.  And you don't even really need skirts for that.

I dunno, the Sherman is just right where it is, able to fight other axis mediums with upgun and has a chance to hurt a heavy tank, though has no where near the armor or HP as a tiger.  I have no issue throwing my tiger as two upgun shermans, they aren't 100% penetrating weapons and the tiger will dish out way more hurt than the shermans.  Now if they were both fireflies, that's a different issue.

@Smurf - Slower in terms of weight of the skirt on the tank.  Nerfing the effective of the only good, decent US tank would - to me - require a nerfing of axis medium armor to offset that.

Vs Tiger:
45% chance
60% chance and +10 dam with HVAP Rounds

Vs Panther:
20%
26% chance and +10 dam with HVAP Rounds

Don’t use the tiger alone vs. anything other than 75mm Shermans, Churchills, and Cromwells. Tigers simply cannot compete vs. the new tanks…
