I really wanna know what these guys do tbh, I never want to use them becasue I dont even know what buggs they may or may not give.  Does the commando lt even give buffs?  Can it paradrop with commandos? Do captains really give defensive bonus?

All I know is that mando officer gives what normal vet2 lieutenant would give at vet 0 but without heroic charge.

Liuetenant aura:
VET 0 aura buff:
-exclusive 25% accuracy buff

Vet 2 aura buff:
-exclusive 10% accuracy buff
-exclusive 35% reduced cooldown buff
-exclusive 10% reduced reload buff

Captain Aura change:
VET 0 AURA Buff
-exclusive 10% received suppression
-exclusive 10% received damage
-exclusive 0.004 regeneration
-exclusive 25% health bonus (emplacements)

Vet 2 AURA Buff
-exclusive 10% received suppression
-exclusive 10% health bonus
-exclusive 0.004 regeneration
-exclusive 25% health bonus (emplacements)

some things may be diff as this is from a pretty old thread but its close and gives an idea

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Stats coming up fresh from Corsix...

Alright, Captains give 1.1 Health and 0.9 Received damage to units in the sector that they occupy. They also give 1.25 Health to any emplacements in said sector.

As well as that, they give a 0.028 Health Regeneration bonus to any units in the sector. At Vet 2 this modifier is applied again

Oddly enough, the Captain uses TWO entries for it's buff, one for the infantry buffs, and one for the regeneration buffs, but BOTH of these entries give 1.25 Health to emplacements. This, I did *Not* know. Could be interesting. Looking even further, Vet 2 applies ANOTHER 1.25 Health buff. Wow. If that's true, then emplacements could get three doses of 1.25 Health at Vet 2. That could make a 25 pounder jump from 450 Health all up to 878.90625 Health. Holy shite.

The Commando Officer gives one set of buffs only, which are 1.25 Accuracy, then 1.1 Accuracy, then 0.65 Cooldown with finally 0.9 Reload. Use of the correct doctrine can get Heroic charge for these guys if I recall, but those buffs alone are worth it to make any infantry worth their salt.

The standard Lieutenant has 1.25 Accuracy on it's standard buffs, and at Vet 2 gains an additional 1.1 Accuracy followed by 0.65 Cooldown and 0.9 Reload. Also, the Heroic Charge has the uber leet supression breaking and resisting goodness, it also gives 0.75 Recieved Damage and 0.5 Cooldown.

EDIT: Post updated with 75% less confusion.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

The problem isn't knowing which abilities are used by the units themselves Leophone, it's knowing which actual Lieutenant entry itself is being used by EiRR. Does it use officer_lieutenant or officer_lieutenant_eirr?

It gains nothing with vet for it's aura.

However, it has the equivalent of a vet 2 Lieutenant aura right off at vet 0, so essentially, the Commando Officer is better than the Lieutenant until the Lieutenant reaches vet 2. Then the two are equal.

Ok rgr, much appreciated.

While we're on it, does the accuracy buff from LT or comm LT work on piats ? Saw this in some other topic.

As far as I'm aware, it does.

Accuracy is only good up to a point for PIAT's though tbh.
