Why people play axis more than allied.

So people, give me reasons why you, the community, play axis more than allies.

Ive heard most of the excuses like "allies are boring", my personal favorite, "Allies are to easy to play" ETC

So why do more people play axis? Ill update this post as people input there reasons. May help the devs to adjust the allies to shift some of the attention thier way.

I actually play a lot of allies due to arrogant people keeping the axis spots...

Anyway, I prefer Axis, because I like 'em most: I like their panzers..

I haven't been able to play a game as Axis in about a Week. Thus I've been playing alot of Allies. I enjoy both sides equally and I usually fall in and out of favour with them depending on how I want to play that day.

Axis have more variety in regards to units. axis units are more interesting .

Anyway, love Wehr, Ami, CW. Not a PE fan, too much "Wehr wannabe with vehicles". Luftwaffles were cool, then they got OP and stopped requiring mad ambush skill.

CW is hilarious to play, Ami are great, Wehr is great.

Depends mostly on my mood. Am I feeling heavy tanky, or do I want to annoy the shit out of a player and win through suicidal rushes?

People want to play the bad guys and US only have one strategy? m10s + riflemen + atgs.  Brits are always boring as hell, I always hoped they would get reworked.

Commandos are fun as hell to use, even usin them vanilla they can seriously hurt elite infantry, plus the voice acting foe them is awesome.

Probably because armour company is mind-numbingly boring to play. Every company is so generic.
As long as we're talking about generic company builds, try to build a british company that is unique.. oh wait, they have two forms of infantry, and one don't have AI capability.. lawl gl hf.

On the other hand, AB/Infantry/Commandos docs are probably the most exciting factions to play, and all have a wide variety of reliable company builds to choose from. It doesn't have the versatility of any Axis coy, but it's still great!

I think the reason why axis is so popular is because every one of their units is powerful vs the allied arsenal. PE get so many units, and all of WM's units are powerful enough to field (50mm pumas, even).

This could be solved by highly specialized and effective doctrines though, most companies are the same because of the way resources are set (they used to be adjustable, you earned points to put into resources each game) and the way doctrines encourage taking the same units, no matter what your doctrine is.

If you want I can name more units from the Allies that look awesome. Though it is pretty much all of them.

i enjoy all factions equally, minus PE, i've never liked them.

I love WM because of 88, KCH, their mortar, and grens, and riflemen are just so easy to kill.

I love CW because of the croc church, tommies are a thousand times better than rifles, i have recently fallen in love with the 95mm.

I don't know how much I really love US, I have always played them out of necessity, it's true many people over the years have simply refused to play allies, and if you want a game most of the time you play as allies, so I've become most familiar with US because of that. AB was always my favorite, but since AB aren't in I've ended up playing a LOT of armor, which is my new love, crocs with free .50 and a bulldozer are my favorite, I've always loved the calli, though I miss DRR, and I love the simplicity of my infantry company, loads of BARs, ATGs, Jumbos.

my favorite is brits mainly cuz of tommy's. I love using infantry, i like stand off weapons and i like good vehicles that support my infantry.


I tink most people play axis because they can dish out more damage in a shorter amount of time generally.

also its more fun to kill tanks than infantry and both axis sides area very good at that.

then there's the tank factor. axis have cooler tanks, tigers, panthers, ostwind (my fav) jadgpanthers, jagdtiger setc.

German vehicles and weaponry are all more...exciting, with the exception of the Garand.

STG44-World's first production assault rifle.

FG42-Phenomenal hybrid paratrooper design. Flaws, sure, but spectacular nonetheless.

MG42- Fuck yeah.

Panzer 4-Sexy tank.

Panther-Overall, best/most advanced tank of the war. Basis of modern MBT's.

Tiger-Pound for pound, the most feared chunk of steel, ever.

KT-Just fucking badass. 72 tons of rolling steel. One of the few (the only?) tank(s) to have ever been in battle en-masse and never have been penetrated frontally.

Flak 36-Fucking awesome.
