Can anyone tell me what this AB garand sniper rifle is?

also I thought all reward units would not get benefits from doctrines? personally i think they SHOULD get benefits.

also what is US command squads "off map toggle"

Probably a faster-firing springfield or a regular garand with extreme accuracy and range.

Those were all mentioned in the patch notes; afaik reward units are getting the buffs, it just hasnt been implimented yet.

The retreat off-map toggle you use to retreat tanks or non-auto-retreating infantry. I was lucky to get a reroll twice after my officer was caught in the spawn by units with tank crush, and coulnt retreat him.

Its like 2 bars with more overall DPS, and better med/long dmg, but doesn't have suppression fire.

I tried them en masse. Really wasnt all that exiting/powerfull. I only had T2 unlocks (lv5 coy), but until I get something better farther along I think mass mustard gas nebels are better  Grin

Great patch, some long overdue price changes like the Assault Grens and KCH to an affordable muni price. Doctrines are looking great aswell, glad I could help a bit

Looking at the RGD's, the Garand Sniper Rifle is a normal Sniper Rifle except it can cool down 0.5 seconds faster, reloads 1 second faster, has an 8 round mag instead of 5.

Doesn't seem all that fantastic unless there is something outside of the weapon's RGD file affecting it.

Don't have time to look ATM, what is the cooldown and reload of a normal sniper?

Compare the numbers and find the % increase in Rate of Fire.

Normal sniper CD is 6-7.5 Garand is 5.5-7.5

Reload is 3 for normal and 2 for Garand.

That's not a bad increase in rate of fire.

Still, sadly, a lot of the other AB doctrine abilities are crap.

Pretty sure that's just the reload after the 8 shots have been fired though so... Yeah, a potential 0.5 second difference in RoF.

You'd have to be cutting down a blob and a half to see any benefits from the extra second on the reload time tbh.
