I for one wouldn't want to see 2 new callins being pinned by a ninja rambo last guy who mans the mg, and i'm sure that a situation like this would occur and not once in a blue moon.

or they steal your own mg with a 1 man squad. atm you have to sacrifice at least 2 dudes to deny an enemy their mg.

From a pure logical point of view, this makes absolutely no sense. You only need 1 man to man an MG, 2 for ATGs and Mortars.

I don't see how it makes a difference if it's a 2 man or 1 man volk recrewing that mg42, would you rather have that guy backcap you? Judging from the posts in this thread people are afraid of 1 man riflesquads stealing an MG (that somehow is uncrewed at their spawn) pinning their 2 new called in squads? (spawnbuff says hi!). Something like this is just so fucking absurd I'm not gonna go any closer into that.

AMPM, if a 1 man rifle recrews an MG then that's one less 0 pop rifle capper. The player can decide what he'd rather have, it's an option to the player. Not to mention ONE rifleguy manning an mg would die to a fart.

I think the reasonjng behind it having to be 2 men is from a realism standpoint, because one fires while the other one "loads" the weapon.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

Realism is irrelevant. The guys don't even do it in CoH, they act as guards for the MG against flanking infantry.

The reason for why we are not gonna do this is because instead of a rifle/volk/tommy/sapper/etc. squad being able to recrew the same MG only 2 times, you will be able to do it 4-6 times instead, while being able to preserve whatever combat capabilities or vet that the recrewing unit had.

It would be like gaining back the utility of your original machine gun for a fraction of the cost, instead of taking an equally large operational part of a working squad to gain back your lost support weapon.

Everything in this game should have a cost/benefit ratio to do, which this change drastically takes a shit all over.

You want your MG back, your gonna have to pay for it, just like everything else.

Shit I didn't think about how squads with more than 1 man would be affected by it. Using only 1 man when recrewing an MG is stupid. I guess it's not possible from a coding pov without fucking up the multiple member recrew mechanic

I'm not invoking nor disagreeing with it being able to be recrewed with a one man guy, I'm just putting out a possible reason as to why Relic didn't have it so you could be able to be recrew things with 1man volks/riflemen/grenadiers/rangers/airborne/pgrens.
