Take your eyes off of that Ranger squad for 4-5 seconds and it's either instantly dead or at retreat level.
While you're likely thinking, what idiot takes their eyes off a squad for a WHOLE 4-5 seconds... Somebody that is using another micro intensive unit in another section of the map.
I'm of the opinion that Assault is a total BS ability and always has been. Even using it makes me feel dirty.

No one made valid points why Assault should be removed.
If it didn't break suppression or give lower damage and acc, the squad would just die in seconds no matter what it would be assaulting. It giving those buffs are to boost the unit's survivability because they will literally run into harms. It isn't impossible to dodge, it is easy to run away from it no matter how many volleys they throw.
I do not see anything that makes it completely OP. Vet 3 rangers can bolt away from that harm and boom they took away 50-60 muns away from enemy by using a cooldown ability. If people are lazy to dodge it they simply resort in complaining about it.
This mod is about superior micro like someone said. So, by that logic start DODGING that assault because it is microing.

what with arty? I take sight from my unit for few seconds,and if arty shell lands,they get instant killed,heck,I can even try to move them when I hear arty,and arty can still hit them and kill em all in one hit...REMOVE ARTY!!!
WHAT ABOUT AVRE? He can instant kill whole squads and support weapons if I dont pay attention!!!

i think it's stupid that these abilities break suppression, it makes no sense. why should a squad be pinned then magically get up and throw a ton of grenades? it's stupid. you should have to use the ability BEFORE you are suppressed not after. take out break suppression and it's fine with me.
but from a user perspective it's dumb that someone can hop into a garrison or hop out and render your ability useless, or the fact that you lose total control over your unit as it tries to use it's ability, that screws you over as well.
so imo, it's an ability that doesnt really make sense from either side, it's quite broken, yes when it works, it does wonders, but i don't think the ability really belongs in eirr, unless these issues get ironed out.

forgetting about fire up ?
Soon someone will want to delete fire up because its not realistic, then something else, at the end we will be left with rifles vs volks gameplay.

As it's only available to Rangers/Airborne while assault is available to every infantry unit that isn't a pioneer.

lol really? are YOU forgetting one breaks suppression, gives defensive bonuses, on top of sending out 100mu worth of nades?
the other breaks suppression then gives exhaustion afterwards. as well as only being available to two US units.

Last time I used AW it didn't have the incoming accuracy buffs... My AB rifles dropped like flies.
