MY i7 2600K runs pretty nice. I haven't even bothered to push the limits of it yet, and I probably won't have to for a year or two

I've pushed mine from 3.4ghz to 4.65ghz barely increasing the vcore, it reaches 5ghz with no problem as well.

With the holidays coming up and all the crazy sales that would be going on I'm thinking of upgrading. What should my priority be in upgrading? I won't want to spend more than $200.
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 CPU: Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz Video Card: 8800 GTX 768MB RAM: 4GB (4x 1GB) DDR2 240pin Soundcard: x-fi xtreme gamer OS: Windows 7 64x and windows XP 32x (though I'll probably be switching everything over to just windows 7 soon)

Eh..... can't do much with $200.... I'd search for an used intel q9550 and a nvidia 560ti. That should cost around $300, and would make a huge difference compared to what you have now.

interesting, let me ask you this. if i drop 200 on this CPU is it going to do me good for 3-4 years? or is it more economical to get something in the lines of $100 that will give me a nice little boost for the next year or so?

my i7-2600K cost me like $220CDN after taxes. I got a good deal.
It'll last me years I think, especially with overclock.

Holy shit, that CPU is not worth at all 200 bucks lol.... if you can't find it for less than 120 bucks, don't bother. There is nothing worth buying in between your E6750 and the Q9550. You would be better off selling all your stuff and building a new rig.... likely to be cheaper.
