I thought it would be fun to see how far ppl ahve gotten and what builds they have chosen?
Race: Wood Elf Lvl 29
Main Skills:
Archery 72, Block 42, Sneak 78, Light armor 48, Smith 60 & Lock picking 51
Secondary skills (these are skills you have improved out of interests but not a main feature in your char):
Speech 39, Alchemy 30 & One-handed combat 47.
Unlocked abilities: Light armor 2/5 and Custom fit; Archery 4/5, Eagle eye, Critical shot and power shot; Block 1/5 and Deflect Arrows; Sneak 4/5, Back stab, Muffled movement, Deadly aim and Assassins Blade; Lock picking Adapt lvl with Golden touch; Smith Steel, Elven Armor, Advanced Armor and Arcane smith
Armor: (All pieces are modified to Flawless grade)
Elven armor, Boots with 30 % sneak, Braces 20 % to one handed dmg, Korin a face mask that gives 20 % to archery, sneak and alchemy (unique drop after killing a lich and getting throw voice shout), Elven Shield, Amulet 20% less cool down on shout, ring 20% to bow dmg.
Weapons:
Ebony Bow Excellent grade dmg 68, Ebony blade Excellent grade dmg. 28, Dwarven sword dmg. 15 50 magicka drain (main use take out mages my main weakness, Elven Dagger Flawless 20 magicka drain dmg. 19.
Shouts:
Throw voice Max lvl, Force max lvl, Marked for death 2nd lvl, Ice form max lvl, Fire first lvl, Dash first lvl,
Abilities:
Able to transform into a Werewolf which is pretty redundant at times since i mostly pick off all targets at distance, but sometimes it is really the only way to slaughter shit ^^
Companions:
Girl that you get as you become the Thane of White Run, given her full plate armor apart from her helmet which is a scale helmet but I have modified it all to flawless grade, also a Dwarven shield flawless lvl and a Elven axe flawless lvl.
Guilds:
Dark Brotherhood, Thieves guild and Companions.
Have not choose sides yet in conflict mostly just doing side quests and guild requests.

You have alot of cool enchanted armor, i need to find some lightning resistant, i literally get 2-3 shotted by mages who use lighting against me, and im level 36 with 300Hp!
Only slow time counters that atm, but seeing as how my shouts are becomign so powerful, i avoid using them at all, unless im fighting a boss where it warrants an all out epic fight to the best of my characters ability!
That bow is crazy! i have an ebony bow flawless but it certainly doesnt reach 68! only 30 i think, and my epic mace doesnt get that high aswell, its crazy good!

This is the opposite of what Im asking basically
I want a fucking HARD game, not the piss poor attempt that was Oblivion.
By the way, when I mean hard - I beat Moria (old amiga game, precursor to Angband etc) by throwing trash (bones, rocks, unidentified items, pants) at the Balrog.... And in that game, if you died, it deleted your save game (~14 days to get to the right level to face the balrog).
From what I heard the scaling is only 10% of the whole picture, unlike in oblivion there are actually high level and low level areas now. So if you wander too far off you may indeed end up in some ridiculously hard dungeon. I can confirm that this is the case, some quests I've done really were far too difficult, even at normal difficulty. (You can simply increase difficulty as well) The game is definitely a lot more challenging than oblivion ever was.

Level 21 with 51 skill in archery
Went with thief stone and have elven armor to boot. I also have a few spells and a dagger or two, but most of my time is going into archery and hopefully illusion once I find a few spell books on it.
Also thinking of joining the Imperials against the Stormcloaks..

Definitely joining the imperials myself. Just going to the hold and listening to ulfric + his sidekick made me realize they just want revenge, and are willing to do whatever they have to, regardless of who it affects, to win.
I've realized that I'm FAR too spread out...is there any way to RESET skill points? (at least individually!)
OT: ever go to the guy's museum in Windrun? (something house of curiosities) The way they laid that whole dude/encounter out....there was something about it that gave me an emotional connection to the character the same way a good movie or book would...and it did it in 5 minutes.

I rerolled my nord 2handed warrior because I found him so boring
My destruction/conjuror is much more fun.
I have the azura's star quest companion, so we have 2 fire atrarchs. We're like two robed jedis.

I'm gonna ask a newb question just because I accidentally skipped the tutorial for this, but how can I recharge enchanted weapons? I know it requires a soul gem, but I have no idea where or how to do this
. I have 2 top grade skyforge steel swords waiting for elemental bonuses!
and P.S., how rofl is the wabbajack?! Funniest side quest and BEST weapon! Was attacking a cave bear and it turned into a Daedric Prince... rofl

No problem Spinn
Once you have a filled Soul gem, press T on the weapon you want to recharge, comes up a little menu which tells you which Soul gem you want to use to recharge.
Have fun!

well, enchanting is super awesome, with good blacksmith and enchant skill, you can basically make better weapons that you will find 95% of the time. ANd at 100,you can put 2!!! enchantments at same item, just imagine how fucking much dmg can your flawless weapon do!
Get soul catch spell, wonder around wilderness and cast it on animals to get soul gems. Also, when oyu make daggers or find weapons, enchant them before you sell em,to make em cost much more + you buff your enchantment skill.

Ill get you photo this monday, the dmg. is based on apparently all the amplifiers, like 80% dmg from outdraw from bow skill and the ring and mask, they apparently directly show on the weapons same as on armor. The best part is that it gets Times three with the sneak attack, combined with glass arrows that do 16 dmg the dmg goes upp to around 300 per shot also i often get most targets apart form dragons get stumbled with the power shot skill.
When it comes to resistances i have tbh found few resistance pieces, like a orc shield with 50% frost resistance but that was real late in game which i gave to my Huscarl.
Also I hope all of you realise that the Storm Cloaks leader is a bloddy pure blood racist, with the basic idea that anything that isnt nord is sub-human or a lesser form of species?
Therefore FIGHT FOR ZE EMPIRE!!!

Pffft, the way i saw it, the nords want freedom to worship whoever they saw fit! the empire wasnt fit to rule any longer and Skyrim had a majority of Nord population so for the protection against the racist thalmor, the stormcloaks seemed pretty much the best choice!
so i slaughtered every imperial i laid eyes on
and raped and pillaged that family who supported the empire in dragonreach. How dare the father of that family send 3 armed assassins to eliminate me! i showed them mercy! but after finding the letter he gave to those thugs, i knew it was the time that no imperial could be trusted! so i slaughtered all of them.. women and children aswell! NONE WAS SPARED!

Normally when I play RPG's I play as the goody-two-shoes first.
With Skyrim, I thought to myself, lets be different. I'm playing like a total cunt. If it's not nailed down, I'll steal it. If it's nailed down, I'll pull out a claw hammer, rag out the nails, and steal it. If a person pisses me off, they die and nobody has a clue who did it.
To top it off, I'm making myself look like Good Guy Greg to the masses, giving coins to the beggars, joining the Companions, so on.
Thieves guild quests are win, just started them off and I'm enjoying it... Suddenly overwhelmed by how much scale it goes to - I hope the Dark Brotherhood is just as in depth when I get to them.
I still haven't done the first quest for the Jarl of the town in the centre of the map which I keep forgetting the name of... Whiterun is it? Getting faaaaaar too sucked in by every other side quest. Getting smashed outta my face and running all over Skyrim was hilarious tbh.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
