Would it be possible to track the total amount of kills a unit has in the launcher, and also show it on the leaderboard?
A vet 3 Sniper is good. A vet 3 Sniper with 100-150 exp is very good.
Seeing a vet 3 Sniper who has killed 200-300 people single handedly in his career is quite something.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

i think there was a thread about this 8-9 months ago in the "EIR Suggestions" Mini Section but it was all shot down by a mod saying it would requre some special shit in the Vcoh engine.

EXP is easier to read too.
20 riflemen vs 20 rangers
Maybe we should put up all the XP given for each unit currently so we can go over it and make sure they are correct.

Tracking what a unit kills is technically possible, but in a completely roundabout way. We'd have to redesign the Exp. system for starters. It would be more work then the Warmap in the long run(ok not quite but it'd be rough)
We're better off waiting for CoH 2 to see what kind of systems they have in place for use.

yeah. you'd have to revamp xp and vet to do it. make each unit killed be worth 1 xp so its a 1 to 1 kill but make vet different.
So instead of say like sometihng being 20 xp, it'd be 5 xp, meaning u need 5 kills of any unit to get it to vet. would really benefit tanks.

Hrm, I was wondering... The game tracks a unit's kills ingame. Is there no way to have those numbers find their way into the battle file which then gets relayed to the server?

I think someone should start a unit tracker. Pick one unit and try to get as many kills on it as possible.
At the end of every game, or when retreated take a screen shot of said unit with the kills on it.
Could be interesting.

Pretty much what brn said. Im fairly certain I could get it done, but youd never see units level up in game again (due to xp being used as a 'counter' for kills)

Yep it does. And I have not found a way to programatically access this number. Marcus has played a lot with scar coding over at OMG, im fairly certain he'd know a secret tip, or even a workaround.

I loved it back then...Honestly do this before anything else...add some interest into winning games and more people will play. Like the news section that had like best companies and such.

Well, I can record xp awarded and lost (dead units) and store a total xp of company - but I dont know if that was what smokaz was meaning. Also, I can record inf/veh etc kills
