Ok I have been playing more heavily with officers as of late in an attempt to boost my infantry performance. I have noticed a particular affinity for almost every type of axis tank to one shot my officers. At first I was thinking... oh im probably just noticing when it happens than when it doesnt. However I kept an eye on my officers much closer for about 2 weeks now. I have noticed that yes there are times when he doesnt get one shot derped. However more often than not P4s, panthers, tigers, end even 88s (even had an instance with a puma upgun) will hit my officer killing him in one shot. I tried to accept this and continue playing... I can accept loosing units.

I went back and looked at officer vet. saw that at vet 1 incoming accuracy goes down .85 (maybe not affecting Tank rounds?). So I thought hey... ill nurse my officers carefully to at least vet one and then survivability will go up. I noticed however that my officers would again more often than not get one shot almost as if accuracy was increased against them. I was hoping that someone could bust out some stats on accuracies affecting brit officer units... preferably Lts so that my insanity can be confirmed or denied.

-15% recieved accuracy isn't exactly all that noteable man. Every tanks (especially panthers they love to snipe officers) have a chance to instagib a officer, but moreso they often hit them enough that they are down to very low HP.

as a tip

Try to keep officers far back with infantry as a shield. Their Aura is quite enormous that it can safely remain behind.

If you don't want your Lieutenants one shotted, keep them in heavy cover. Alternatively, put the infantry that he's buffing in front of him, rather than blobbed up with them.

Lieutenants have notoriously poor health when it comes to surviving anything other than rifle fire.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

yea yea shield and all that I do. Dunno it just seems rediculous how little damage an LT can take. I am ok with them being killable... invincible officers are stupid... but I would like them to be able to have a slightly decreased inc accuracy vs tanks... considering they are just a one man unit and are useful and do cut into munitions. dunno ... i guess im kinda jelly of the axis officer that can eat a whole cromwell shell for breakfast pop a med pack and survive another... ahhhh the devastation that could wrought with a brit officer like that  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Actually, the WM Officer can eat a Pershing shell and survive. He wont be surviving much more on top of that though.

Comparison for you, WM Officer has 140 health, infantry armour and heroic crits.

Lieutenant has 65 health, heroic armour and heroic crits.

Wait a minute, since when did Brit officers (Captain and Commando Lt. too) have heroic armour? I knew they had heroic crits to prevent getting sniped, but I must have had a serious derp moment to miss them having heroic armour...

Either way, if you want a Lieutenant with survivability, get a Commando Officer. It has vet 2 buffs off the bat and 80 health as well as heroic armour and heroic crits.

Im pretty sure officers have a armour that stops them being one shotted by tank shells, if there on full health?

This happens most of the time, but it leaves the officer in question with 1-5 health points, at which point he gets killed by the top-mounted or coaxial MG on the tank usually.

Unless they modified the original values for tank-officer accuracy from vCoH, I see no reason to complain personally. Keeping the officer behind a building or in green cover will usually allow him to keep living and buffing your troops.

wasnt really complaining... was just stating an observation and asking if people had stats to confirm or deny my observations.

actually getting vet on your officers gives them a GREATER chance to be one shotted, PLUS they take more damage. At least that's my experience with them  Tongue

I think they could use a little more health, i just plain dont use them, alternatively capt and lt should be one unit, a two man squad, with both buffs at like i dont know 3 pop rather than 4. you'd probably see a lot more of them. or the lt could have a slightly bigger buff.

there's lots you can do, i never notice a difference in how effective my tommys are with an LT.
