I'm going to assume you spent that GMC's entire life in field babying it like a bitch.
First time I fielded a GMC, I got it vet 3 in one sweep. It's not a question of difficulty, it's a question of patience. It has the speed to stay out of bad situations with good foresight, and speed enough to get it in the right place at the right time on a dime. This all hovers on the initial statement, however, of babying the thing like a bitch.
I have a hunch the rest of your company's in-field effectiveness suffered keeping that one GMC alive.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

^Basically. Tbh, once I busted out my Volskinator Core of vet3 everything it went smoothly. Before that...yeah, everything died horribly. |

my best company atm has one high vet unit, all the others are vet 0 or vet 1. and if they're vet 1 they got it one game.

same, each company i have usually has a rock star or two in it.
I have a terror company with a sexy vet 3 fanaticism sniper.
My RE company has a vet 3 17 pounder.
Blitz HAD a vet 3 mortar, but got killed from OP off map, but those aren't too hard to get.
My armor company has vet 3 m18 or m10 that comes and goes. Oh I guess the star would be a vet 3 assault eng.
the point is, unless you're just plain a really good player and accumulate vet naturally, you should really only have a unit or two (or none!) that you baby. I like to baby some units because they can help you win.
That vet 3 17 pounder is great to bring on when you see big tanks, and it's worth keeping alive. my assault eng, not really.
