Almost everything in the game is guaranteed to penetrate a Cromwell 100% of the time, and even the weakest (50mm Puma) still has an 80% chance to penetrate. On top of that, the gun is completely awful against enemy armour. Still, a tank is a tank so it fills a role of being able to kill infantry and light vehicles without being vulnerable to small arms fire, and it does have a relatively large radius for 100% splash damage so it has something going for it.

The Cromwell becomes an AI beast when you introduce it to RCA dual T3's increasing it's accuracy and damage. Hits more often, and it's medium range splash becomes pretty nasty stuff. Combine with CCT buffs for range and reload modifiers and the Cromwell becomes quite the infantry hunter.

But then again, a Staghound will do everything a Cromwell can for a fraction of the fuel cost.

I've never seen the appeal of them, but some people swear by them. They don't particularly fit in with my play style so I don't use them, but for somebody who uses all their munitions for AT, I can see Cromwells finding their place.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

The Churchil Mk 4 doesn't exist in-game anymore. We have the Mk 6, which uses identical stats to the 75mm Sherman. Revise it's penetration values.

The Cromwell's penetration is not amazing, but it is not so bad to warant a score 4 times lower than that of the StuG. How exactly did you determine the ratings that you did give the units on their armour and pen tables?

Marder penetration seems to be a bit misrepresented in your table as well, even without the lock-down ability - and it's reload cycle time is just flat out wrong. You don't get marders firing 2 times for every sherman shot when the marder's locked down - look around to see what you missed.

Otherwise I very much so approve. Hicks, you may have to turn over the holy statsbook that I left you to this guy.

My rating is based largely around making a hierarchy after evaluating all the target table modifiers, and 4/10 does not mean 4x better than 1/10. The StuG has somewhat better penetration than the Panzer IV, which has somewhat better penetration than the 75mm Sherman, which has somewhat better penetration than the Cromwell, and so they get rated as such. On any scale where 4/10 meant 4x better than 1/10, it would be difficult to differentiate these tank's ratings adequately. Possible, certainly, but too much work and not enough upside, in my opinion. I think that the ratings I've given also mostly "feel" right, although I obviously did not use what "felt" right when determining the ratings because that is far too subjective.

The Marder III without lockdown absolutely deserves a 3/10 penetration rating by my scale, given that it has marginally worse penetration than the PzIV which is also rated at 3/10. You are correct about the reload cycle time though, I'll have to fix that.

Updated the primary chart, and I dunno if I'm going to do that second sort-by range chart. I was working on it and lost my work and it didn't really look all that different anyways, and I'm too tired to work on it again now. Maybe tomorrow if I feel like it, otherwise... meh.

Hmm, looked into Marder vs P4 penetration - lockdown's probably skewed my perception of it's penetration by a fair bit.

Your scaling, then, is inconsistent - being more of a "race" with first places awarded to the contestants - rather than giving a good feel for what one can expect of a unit's ability to penetrate. You used decimals to show the penetrating power of the Mk 4 churchil - don't see why you can't use them in general - not to mention that your scale does not have to start from 0 (or 1, or 2).

The work is simple - just get an average on the penetrating power vs each tank, find the average and then divide each individual tank's average pen by the value you found earlier. While the benefits are very clear - you get to have a non-misleading, non-skewed grading system.

The Mk6 Churchill may have replaced the Mk4 in EIRR but it's still a piece of shit haha.

Love it!

Might I ask what did you do to make it? Just photoshop and a couple of hours?

why is the mk6 a piece of shit tank?.i mean dont get me wrong it is it would be great with RCA buffs. but RE doesnt get those buffs. the only time i have seen a mk6 do well is when u have a cct next to it and nothing moves, ever. its sucks because i want a crom x2 repair and those stats :?. i aprove of this chart

Look at the axis lul armor stats compared to allied 1/10 stats.

@Mysthalin: You are correct that it is somewhat comparable to the finishing place of contestants, but I am satisfied with it because it doesn't feel that far off to me. If you want to throw some better ratings my way, I'll include them, but I've spent enough time working on this chart for the time being. I don't really want to spend another hour or two making more accurate ratings and adding them to the chart.

@Groundfire: MS Paint and about ten hours, actually. I am proficient with Photoshop but when doing relatively simple things I prefer MS Paint as the simplicity of it makes the workflow faster and more comfortable.

The Mk6 is a crap because it has less HP than the Croc variant.

Look, this is the only reason keeping me from using it, and every comparison to a light vehicle only reinforces. It just makes me laugh. Yes, I would take a Greyhound or a Staghound, over a Mk6, any day of the week, and holidays.

I had a game where I drove in "eights" around two Marders in Lockdown with a Greyhound with 50% Health and killed both of them, because they haven't hit me a single time. I guess that the Terrain (Vehicle Cover: -25% Received Accuracy) the Greyhound (-25% Received Accuracy while moving) and the bad Accuracy of a Lockdowned Marder at Shortrange saved the M8's ass.
