about the true LOS....i dont know. Wont feel like a COH game to me.
and with the At War series, it felt a bit awkward. But then again tanks could shoot across the map and kill a squad.

not in the at war games, were weapon ranges still feel pretty limited imo

"You can always count on Americans to do the right thing—after they've tried everything else." The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

I'm always in favor of anything that separates player skill groups without something meaningless. I think true sight will do that quite well. Players who will be able to understand and manipulate the system better then their opponent will pull ahead greatly. I'm sure there will still be units like bikes and jeeps or whatever that will have large sight ranges and things won't change much in open fields. It'll be when you've got to clear hedges or towns that you'll really see the difference.
There are already skill gaps between players who can micro better. Players who manage resources better, this will be no different. The players at the top will have to be better thinkers now more then ever which is a good thing.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

To be honest, I find it a little cheesy for a promotional trailer. It looks a little like something a general community member could make.
Graphics appear a little too cartoonish.
I would expect an accomplished game company to be a little more awe inspiring with their promotion materials.
That being said, as long as the game is great I don't give a shit about their advertising.....lol

The new trailer was much better.
I also watched some recap thing with some 'top' players and community members and my god was it painful to watch. There was so much speculation on how Cold Tech will ruin the competitive scene and make games too campy and stagnant. I believe the guy actually said "You either mass retreat to your base during a blizzard or get clumped up around and fire pit and shelled with artillery"
First off, your enemy would have to scout to hit you effectively, and second. Attacking during a blizzard is a great time to do it. You've taken the initiative and your enemy moves just as slowly as you do and therefore must react to your aggression.
I think the Blizzard stuff will play out real nicely among good players. I think it's only the players that are too indoctrinated in tradition that will have a hard time adjusting. I can't wait for the Cold Tech stuff in EiR2

I'm afraid that it will get too vehicle focussed. Since those have fewest problems during blizzards.

Well if they make the infantry Stage longer that will help.
Vehicles still suffer sight and speed penalties during Blizzards. The Germans ultimately have an advantage with Panzerschreks when it comes to combined arms. The Russians get kinda stomped in the Hand held AT department.

The infantry stage is definitely too short, and it saddens me to note they haven't done anything at all to stop the lategame from swirling into a massive tank blob fest like in vCOH. Quite on the contrary, they've made it worse since you now get a lot more fuel.

but your tanks dont outright DIE from blizzards. I have a feeling that "winter" versions of maps wont get played a lot because they will be too hard for most people to deal with.
people wont care about speed or sight penalties on their tanks im sure. will just make the fights more personal with no flanking.
