Recently I transferred over from my pos laptop to my desktop, which is in much better condition and has much better hardware.

But for some reason, every game of EiRR I play, I lag like a motherfucker.
Even with the settings on low I lag a little, and I never did on my laptop, which is considerably worse.

I can play a 4v4 skirmish on regular CoH on ultra with absolutely no problems. I tried a 2v2 multiplayer CoH match and that was fine too.
I can also watch EiRR replays on ultra and it's fine, just live games aren't running properly.

Anybody know why this might be?

Does it lag in SP and 1vs1? I had this weird lagproblem, when COH first released, in 2vs2s+. Turns out it was my anti-virus (Panda) screwing with my connection somehow. (Since it wasn't really fps lag, it was the 'waiting on player' kind of lag)

Nope, those are both completely fine, and I don't have that anti-virus anyway.

I have a feeling it's my CPU, it's pretty slow and I don't think it's fast enough for the Gfx card

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Yea EIRR requires a heavier CPU than vCOH mind you, because of all the .lua code

I had/have interesting, similar issue.

When I use my 3d architectural software on my laptop, it renders very quickly. On my PC it takes up to 5 minutes.

My PC has way better CPU, more Ram, and dual video cards. No fucking idea why the issue?

Are there are more background programms/processes which are stealing valueable processor time for calculations and important system ressources?
Have you enough free space on your hard disk drives, they are in a good shape (Are you doing defragmentation regulary?) and have you cleaned your
operation system from junk files like old log files, temporary files etc.

And are you're sure that your CPU is not overheat so that protection stuff like ThermalMonitor, Enhanced SpeedStep etc. are definetly not active? (These techniques reducing the core voltage/main cpu clock to decrease the power dissipation on the CPU, but this result in a less computing capacity)

When you can answer this questions with "Yes!" I would recommend to check your system with "HiJack This!" and Spybot Search&Destroy... .

I reduced a whole heap of CPU eating stuff in the launcher - so in theory, it should be BETTER than before the patch.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Apparantly my CPU is actually not as bad as I thought, but I'm not that great on knowledge of pc hardware so I'll just post below and hopefully one of you can tell me what's up.

Although I do exceed the recommended requirements on SystemRequirementsLab Huh

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz
RAM: 3.6 GB
OS: Windows XP SP3, I cba to put Windows 7 on here, don't think that will help anyway.
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 430
Sound: NVIDIA High Definition Audio

The graphic card is the limitation of your whole system. I searched for some benchmarks in the internet and what I've seen was definetly not good.

Espacially if you have a HD-Skinpack installed the graphic card will be a bit overstrained.
