Umm...I play mostly Allies. I didn't this war because they are winning. I ran a Sherman company, that was my vet 3 Sherman upgun with HVAP. It killed 3 P4's.

It also killed a Panther in another game, a Tiger, and a KT.

Shermans are so much better than P4's.

Sorry, I try to work of mathematics and other forms of concrete proof. Not just because you flanked a tank or bounced some P4 rounds.

I don't know man, I've seen one vet 3 hvap sherman take on 3 p4's and win. At the end of the fight one AT gun did manage to help out on the last two p4's but the sherman did most of the work. I feel that shermans are a little bit easier to vet then p4's are.

with or without upgun because as far as i know HVAP doesnt effect it without the upgun. or so the search results come up by hicks

YES a T4 with a upgrade that is specifically made for fighting tanks is going to fight tanks.
 just like  T4 will allow you to run circles around them.

or a T4 that just plain out buffs the shermans AI effectiveness.

Its a very versatile tank that being said its not going to go toe to toe with  a panther or a jagd or a KT. ive used HVAP upgun myself it does kill p4s effectively, it will not fuck with a panther however.

Also we must ask our selves the golden question.

Without HVAP they are for sure better than P4's. So much better. It gets retarded with more doctrine buffs though.

P4 today is good for clearing out hmg and mortars and unupraded inf, it gets funny when a p4 meets jumbo.

My dear dear allied players, you really whant to know why you feel that there are more Heavies on field? apart from the reasons already stated above, PE in contrast to CW does not have any functioning Medium tank, PiV IS is AI centric, Hotch is does not have same health or a 2nd mg/50 cal to help dps, Hetzers are doc centered,

so in the end a PE player is left with marders or Panthers, then combined with Whers obvious choice of Panthers over PiV 4,  you will start seeing more heavies.

PiV 4's should not be snorted at thou, they are in most cases very underestimated and even thou m18/m10s will rape then most times, they are real fearful force vs inf.

And when you do a inf centered coy, like stormies or elit armor grens, PiV fill that slot very nicely.

Again, ppl who are complaning that Panthers are op etc etc Whine whine! Plz play the said faction and unit combo and see if you are as effective with it as you have seen it been used.!!!!!

Not going that direction again. Still i agree for the price medium tanks arent worth it, because heavies are too cheap. Well panthers>medium for sure. Not sure why panthers took such a dip in costs. It can take on a pershing by itself. Panthers has speed, mobility, frontal armor, pen, accuracy, and can take out inf better than AMPMs supposedly OP upgun shermans (that can kill 3 p4s, tiger, panther when playing against a noob but only b/c they had 80% of its health  knocked off but doesnt want to mention that little part of the story. )

Poppi, just because you are terrible with a unit doesn't mean it's not amazing.

The Sherman is by far the best medium tank. It's cheap, it's effective, it can counter anything fairly reliably. Using shot blockers and being clever it can put the hurt on a Tiger. It destroys P4s as long as you don't turn your ass, and it doesn't have to worry about super cheap TD's rushing it.
