the Dark Knight Rises a few days ago. And I remember Christopher Nolan is the director. I look up his movies:

Batman series
Memento
Inception
The Prestige

and I was like this guy is



So then I was like looking at what he looks like:



And I look closer at his last name: Nolan

Third one was terrible compared to the first two. The third lacked a charismatic villain. I couldn't understand what Bane was saying most of the time, nor could I give a damn. Too bad Heath Ledger had to go up and die.

Nearly all of the action sequences were mediocre and the plot seemed pretty hollow.

Agree, not only a bad batman movie but a bad movie in general. The story went on so retarded i didn't believe Dolan directed first 2 movies. I think the first 2 ones were directed by Gooby and Dolan only took credit.

If Dark knight was 8/10 this was a 4/10.

Joker was a much better character than Bane, although i liked Tom Hardy as Bane.

The way Bane spoke had me chuckling to myself all the way through the film tbh, loved it.

Admittedly, the film could have been a fair bit better when compared to the previous two.

However, stood by itself, it's still a pretty damned decent film compared to everything else tbh.

To me the second Batman was just too amazing to beat. Joker was just phenomenal bad guy. A sociopath that used just bullets and gasoline to turn the city on itself. Honestly to me that was the most amazing bad guy portrayal in movie history.

I thought it had some good and some bad parts, overall pretty average and neither of the actors really impressed me.

Bane was lame. Batman was too brooding and moody, even if he's supposed to be like that it didn't get played right.

I found the movie entertaining, but the plot was jumpy. They tried to cover alot of ground and they didn't have the time for it. They cut out alot of what makes a movie good. That smaller details. Everything in the movie was about the grand scheme or the back story. There was alot fo points where you're like "How did he not spoiling anything?" Or "Wasn't he just over there?"

I don't see why the movie can't both be a good movie, and still not be better than the 2nd one?  The second one set an incredibly high bar...simply because it is not at that level does not make it a bad movie.  I certainly enjoyed all 3, although the 3rd one was not quite at the same level as the first two, it was still very enjoyable.
