Please post your comments for this map. I want to review each of these maps to see why they are not getting played. I would like people who ACTUALLY PLAYED THE MAP to give their input on what they liked and disliked about the map. What could be done to improve the map.
The the owner of the map will have to the option to make the suggested changes or allow someone else to make the changes for them. If the changes are just too overwhelming and not worth the efforts, we will just remove the map.
Show Some respect:
People put a lot of work into these maps. Comments like "it sucks" will not be tolerated. Post useful, helpful comments or just don't post. We need input from people who actually want to help and better the playing environment.
If you can't play nice, just don't post please.
If you need a screen shot of the map to show notes etc, let me know and I will unpack it and post the shot.

People avoid it because it's too big, even for 4v4.

If I'm not mistaken, people avoid it because it's really big, too big for a 3v3.

That's my experience after playing the map 3-4 times in the past 5 years. It's too big for 4v4.

The map doesn't have cogent lanes or structure. It could benefit from a design rework I think to make it more appealing to players. And Pony is right on the size issue it is very "big" feeling.

I'm pretty sure this map was designed for a game mode for EIR no longer supported by EIR:R where only specific parts of the map could be captured such as the hill and small industrial yard.

Only way this map (and other maps like french countryside) will ever work is if we bring back the territory system it was designed for, i.e OCP. It's not designed for having the entire map layered with sectors, the original just had some areas with sectors so people would fight over them, it was great. Unfortunately the SCAR code for this gamemode broke and it was never fixed.

yeah, this is that special one which only has a few selected sectors to fight over.

It's the gamemode that essentially allows less and non-linked sectors instead of requiring the entire map to be sectored, as a result these sectors function as VPs almost and basically guide the players' efforts towards certain key points on a map. You can clearly see it on the screenshot of the map tym posted, there's only 5 sectors in the middle and 3 at each spawns. It worked incredibly well.
