So you essentially don't need industry or commercial. See the simcity subreddit to find all that is broken within the game. I should just reinstall eir, everything else I try and play stinks.

The games kinda broken.  Its fun, but there are quite a number of mechanics that need to be installed to make the game more logical.

Anno and simcity are hugely different, and I personally get bored of the anno setup pretty quickly, basically you're just constantly expanding your resources to unlock new structures and please citizens, there's very little actual city management involved. That being said, it does look like simcity has some serious issues, and this time around we can't hope the mod community is going to step up and make it a better game like they did with 4.
