Ok so heres another generic XIICorps brits are shit post.
but I would really like to address the Stuarts rather lackluster performance.

280mp and 90fu 8pop for a dedicated lv hunter, that more often then not is killed by the very thing its designed to pursue.
the staghound costing 300mp and 100fu can do everything the stuart does with the added bonus of being effective attacking inf abeit at a slight mu cost.

Would really like to the the stuart recieve
1. A boost to its ROF, nothing insane but maybe a 0.8-1 reduction to its reload.
2. Cannister round brought back to it.
this thing is no longer the bfg shotgun it used to be and seems only fitting to give it faction wide rather then just mandos, who use tets over stuarts anyway.

Hm. i think the stuart is fine for a defensive LV counter but as far as tank hunting it does lack. where you can get a upgun puma and or upgun hotchkiss for a similar price.

which i mean i would rather get a cromwell in terms of LV and infantry counter.

Thata what im saying man 2x bren mmg with ap rounds is an effective lv counter on defense but they don't really have the hp to go on t h e offense.
This is where the stuart should come into play.

Ill have to check the rgds but 50mm puma snipers inf way better then the stuart.
and the hotch fires almost 2 seconds quicker

Stuart is good as it is. If you want tank hunter (lol), pick RCA and you have bonus : Acc, dmg, penetration.
Very funny coy tbh Cheesy

And if it comes to Hotkissmyass, their pen should be nerfed ._. Why are they penetrating Pershing at any range ? ;/

I am pretty confused.  First compare the Staghound gun to the Stuart gun. On the Staghound gun you have worse overall pen on all lvls vs all targets basically, no dmg bonuses vs lvs (50 dmg vs like 80 on the Stuart), less damage per shot, slower rate of fire.  The only advantage the Staghound gun gives you is against infantry since overall you are looking like 40% accuracy on the Stuart.  Using the Staghound gun is basically like the non-upgunned hotch gun except it can maybe do some rear pens to real tanks.

Now looking at the Stuart vs the upgun Hotchkiss.  You are complaining about the Stuart being ineffective vs LVs when it does around 80 dmg per shot vs LVs, 7ish less dmg than the Cromwell.

There are some accuracy penalties vs certain Lvs but the 50mm Hotch gun has the same or even worst penalities and does even worst dmg because of dmg penalties vs LVs dropping their dmg down to 56.

The Stuart may suck at killing inf but at least you have two mgs, co-ax and hull, along with 40% accuracy. The 50mm Hotch gun is even more hopeless.  It literally can't hit any infantry if its moving and has no mgs.

The pigeon-holed unit is the upgun Hotch not the Stuart even though it has greater range and higher RoF.  It can pen any allied vehicles but suffers from low dmg (dmg penalties vs LVs and Shermans, M10s, M18s and high health pools for Churchills and Pershings). Almost every allied vehicle has a turret so its harder to dance to the rear and plug away without the fear of return fire.

Since you are looking at the RGDs I can't see why you aren't noticing that at the Stuart gun is actually pretty good at penning more than LVs.  At close range you have 100% rear pen on Jadgpanthers, Hetzers, Stugs, P4s.  You have 50% frontal on P4s and 80% on Ostwind chassises.  Only thing you can't really hurt is Tigers.  You have the speed and damage to circle strafe or hurt most axis LVs usually with very little danger to the Stuart itself unless you run into a LtAtHt, Upgun Hotch or an Upgun Puma.

You have an entire faction that fields LVs and somehow the Stuart is too specialized and ineffective?  A RoF increase would be pure BS against PE.

I have no comments on how the upgun Puma fairs compared to the Stuart.  They indeed did buff the Puma because the unit used to suck ass but it's actually good now.  It's an insult to bring the upgun Hotch into the conversation.  The upgun Hotch isn't supposed to be good at everything and has questionable value but it doesn't mean that we make posts bitching about it on the forums every week. The upgun Hotch does have the advantage of being able to get doctrinal moving repairs (one of the most overpowered mechanics in EiRR) but there is a reason why you don't see them really outside of Tank Destroyers or during this recent doctrine shutdown except for the occasional suicidal vet hunt.

If you are not bringing Stuarts vs PE, you are frankly being foolish.

Actually hotchkisses are honestly underpriced and the best doctrine for them is actually luft bot t-4.

But otherwise I fully agree with Ugly, Stuarts and all ATLV's in general are great packwolves and the Stuart is one of the better ones.

Admittatly only used them twice since docs gone, but when they were around they just felt fragile and outgunned by everything in a similar role.  Undecided

I never thought I was gonna say this, but stuarts are actually cool in their current form. For a long time they weren't able to fight neither inf or LVs effectively, at least they have a role now. And I do believe they can outperform upgun Pumas. ( I might be mistaken at this one)

Ouch, dat burn, you people want some lube to apply on it?

I think Stuart is fine, it is a LV hunter with ability to get extended sight range. Its not fastest of the buggers, but watch what happens if it gets its cannon aimed at a hummel!

Stuart might be balanced its just that spending a total of 8 pop to a LV hunter is kinda a nono in EIR, unless u get a few more and can kill tanks too. Same with upgun puma.

Fery few to no LV's are good unless they are in packs, in that context the stuart is still one of the better ones imho. A pair of them are able to hunt down a tank, just like a pair of pumas.
