For the last 3-4 patches my autoupdater has been downloading real slow. It took 2 hours to download the new EuropeInRuinsArt.sga alone. I still download other stuff with my usual speed. How is this possible?

but i thought you could or it would use space on the ram cards if needed/wanted to. i would probably check your processes and see how much or what is draining it all. |

Your OS can use a portion of left over space for memory, but honestly much over a gb wont do anything other then deprive you of space.

Doesn't the computer pull storage space from the drive when it doesn't have sufficient RAM? That's the virtual memory iirc. Granted not sure how much ram he has and it might have changed since I was taught that (some 5 years ago). Either way it temporarily stores a lot of things so it's good to have a buffer imo. |

Something may just be conflicting with the auto-updater then. Some of us download fine, others take a small eternity - That sounds more user side than server side.
But saying that, the EiRR Launcher is a dinosaur which can potentially conflict with pretty much anything. I know there's at least one anti-virus that it conflicts with like a bastard.
