really?  Mexico is shit, gonna sit back with 5 defenders and pray they can score on the counter...Netherlands should get by them easily.  The real challenge for the Dutch will be vs Greece or Costa Rica.

Crazy your way off base, Mexico does not play defensive football, like Italians or Uruguay.  In fact, they could not if they tried, just watch the first 20 mins of Croatia game.  Versus Brazil they defended out of necessity, and clutch goalie saved them.   

Against Holland to play with 5 on defensive line would be suicide, that  would be playing to the Dutch strength (Sneider, Persie, Robben).  So, the only option is to attack for Mexico, which should make for an open exciting game.

This does not mean Mexico will win, but it should be competitive.  Advantage Netherlands, but crowd will be behind Mexico, and Mexico has never advanced to quarter finals away from home soil, that streak will end at some point, and more than likely in Latin America, will it be this year?

The boring game will be Uruguay, especially w/o Suarez, because they will pack it in.

Greece, really?  They were arguably in weakest group, and Costa Rica should roll them.

IMo america has done really well in comparison to others.

they only lost by 1 to germany which germany fisted porto 4-0? i think.

and they tied porto 2-2 and beat ghana. so considering that germany is a world powerhouse america has done really well enough for a party.

technically we still have a chance, in that are we still in the tournament, but realistically, we are underdogs in every match from here on out, with the difficulty only increasing.

Area: The new coach has instituted the 5 at the back system he took from his club management time in Mexico.  They have used it virtually exclusively since he took over as far as I have seen.  I doubt they change things up vs the Dutch. I agree that it is suicidal in that instance, as Robben will tear them apart, but we'll see.  Maybe I'm wrong. 

Completely agree Uruguay will get wrecked, I'm beginning to think perhaps I should have picked Colombia over Chile to make the semis instead of the other way around.  They are looking quite strong.  And while I don't think Greece are going to get by Costa Rica, their defense is very organized, and in those kind of games, first goal will likely decide the game.  Netherlands has an easy road to the semis though.

Crazy, the 5 in the back Mexico uses is misleading as the wingers play very aggressively and are always going forward (Layun and Aguilar).  Versus Holland it will be interesting to see if its Robben and coy who have to track back or Mexico's flankers.  That's why ball possession will be key in the midfield.

In other words, can Mexico keep Hollands midfield from feeding their offensive players in spaces they can create.  There is no doubt that Hollands best players are all in the attacking third, and their weakest are in the back line and mid.  So, can Mexico keep possession and force Holland's offensive minded players to play defense, and can Mexico's ball movement expose Holland's defense.  

Granted, Mexico does not have the same quality players in their offense, but collectively they have played well and defensively their organization has been solid, they have only given up one goal in garbage time versus croatia, cant say the same about Holland.

All this makes for an exciting game.

The hate n punishment vs Suarez is ridiculous. Kicking some1 on purpose to injury them is way worse. Like that retard Pepe does almost every game, but thats all fine he can play last Portugal game. Same with Valencia and Belgian guy tonight, both went in, not to get the ball, but to hurt opponent. They can injure them badly, might even ruin their career. They just get red card and all is fine. i dunno Skaffa, Kurt Zouma got a 10 game ban in Ligue 1 for breaking a guy's leg.  Its not like those horror tackles aren't punished.  Biting isn't ok though man.  Also, you sound like a butthurt Liverpool fan.  I hope you're not.
