That's odd, will check.
Fixed I think, it might update D_Day one more time and be done after that, try now.
Edit: Everyone should run their autoupdater again just to be sure they have the right version, there were two versions (old and new) with differencing capitalizations on the server that were overwriting eachother, my bad.

Hill 60 has plenty of pathing problems within the map. The clusterfuck in the middle and the hill are impossible terrain for vehicles in most cases. Any halftrack company would pull their hair out from that map. The fence area little from the middle also creates annoying pathing issues making the vehicles want to rotate 360 in order to move regardless of point in click. The building entry points are also pretty annoying and leaves the buildings more or less unuseable don't know if intended or not but entry and exits leave infantry at major risk of getting annihiliated. It does need some work on it though. I won't recommend it to anyone who uses halftracks.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Sadly the two I was gonna add were broken and didn't work for eirr
I'm going to look trough the rest for next week. Still, we defo don't lack 4v4 maps as compared to how many 4v4's are played.

Might be influenced by how few good 4v4 maps there are. A 4v4 neuville might lead to more people playing 4v4's

Yup, thats the whole idea. As 6p is alrdy quite big, and to see what is needed to make it proper for 4vs4, we take small steps. First step is to see how it plays on current relatively big mapsize, its not clear yet if it really needs to be restamped into a wider map, having to redo all sectors as a result of this, and having to redo all the blockers/impass things. I need to see how it plays on this size so I can review it and take the next step. This is explained in the Neuville map topic, first post.

Or what's more likely is that people use it as a loophole to play Neuville as a 3v3.
I don't approve of this map rotation system tbh (I've always wanted the map to be randomly selected in the launcher), but if it's gonna be done it might as well be done right.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

Not a good argument.
Make it a rule people who do this get a warning if that's the concern. You can easily see in the intel page if people are doing 3v3's on Neuville.
Just blocking it from being played as a 4v4 out of hand as a result of some hypothetical fear (that could be fairly easily solved) means we'll get no intelligence on how the map works as a 4v4 or on what specific changes may be necessary to improve its 4v4 playability.

Ya, we tried for a long time to make that happen, but the launcher end of things made it near impossible. The next hurdle was forcing the CoH lobby to make it happen. The only alternative there was to make any game not played on the selected map would not count. But we preferred to find a way to make playing the selected map an incentive instead.
Long story short, it is going to happen in Eir2, but it was too difficult to get it to work in EiR:R
Considering nueville has unofficially been considered by the community as the map design to follow for good mapping, it would be extremely silly to consider it a good 4v4 map in it's current format.
In fact, just putting it in as a 4v4 map would completely contradict everything the designer has claimed is good map design.
Perhaps there are some people in this community stupid enough to actually believe the hyperbole of testing it first, but I think most people are smart enough to see through what the intention is

.............. means we'll get no intelligence on how the map works as a 4v4 or on what specific changes may be necessary to improve its 4v4 playability.
It has been the most played map for well over a year. In fact, eclipsing all other maps combined. If the skilled players of this community can't figure out what it needs to be a 4v4 with out playing it as a 4v4, then we have some real problems........lol
Lets start with the basics:
The very first question a player asks about a new map proposal is "what size is it" to which all the map designers in the past year have responded, "the same size as Nueville"
That alone would tell any mapper worth his salt that you need to make a 4v4 larger then a 3v3, just like you make a 2v2 smaller then a 3v3.
