What, are you trying to solo a pak with the Achilles or something? You've got 50 range. That means you've got a fuck ton of range to have something be out in front of you to trigger cloaked paks yet still be in effective combat range with the Achilles for if your scouting unit(s) bumps into armour. It's like saying you'd scout with an ATG, lol. when you got speed and you want to last shot that vet vet3 p4 gotta take dat chance
That's an active choice that you make in the knowledge that something can and likely will shit on your day unless you scouted the way first. Raw greed be bad, mmkay? |

Yeah I didn't do that, but you're free to file a complaint with relic. Or just use anything cheap as a scout. More importantly, Achilles are best used for the US rather than Brits tbh. 10 FU more for a flat upgrade to the M10? I'll take that shit all day long. No need for it in Brits when I've got constant access to the Firefly. |

it has marginally less speed and accel tben the M10, the one thing the M10 has always had going for it. |

It has exactly the same accel and decel, except the M10 has 7.2 max speed and Achilles has 6.5 max, which is the same as an M8 Greyhound and more than enough to out-manoeuvre any of your intended targets (Medium-Heavy, and the fastest thing there is the Jagdpanther with 5.4 max speed... The Panther has 5.2). So yeah, a drop of 0.7 max speed to gain the ability to penetrate pretty much everything reliably and at +5 range over the M10. Fuck yes I'll take that all day long. If it weren't limited I'd permanently replace all of my M10's with it. |

At the end of the day, Stugs received buff and even the Ostwind, received buffs. Did the stug and ostwind see play before that? Yes. I searched the forums and I can see that even before they received buffs tons of people were extolling their virtues.
I used the M10 exactly as advised by others and I've watched others used it. Frankly speaking, its a pretty pathetic unit.

What about the M18 Hellcat lol. What a useless unit. With the 46 sight it had a use and was pretty nice but now its just shitty. Dont think anyone uses it either.

regular tiger has 40 range, so M10 outranges it by 5m. This does not make heavy tanks useless, heavy tanks are jake of all trades. The m10 is a dedicated tank hunter. Right unit for the right role gork. You dont see people using chruchill crocs to fight Hetzers even tho they can technically. |
