I do have to repeat myself.
Myst is currently in a hectic life situation which involves finding a job and a place to live. Both which seem to be getting into order and he'll return shortly.
British Officers are getting a change and a rework.
i didnt realise someone who hardly plays had such insight to the affairs of myst.

or balance for that matter.
Thanks for the compliment, you and aero.
Most what has been going on within the forums in terms of balance cries will be answered one way or another within the next patch (assumingly most of the features). The two things which caused the loudest are:
Brit Officers
T17s
In some way or form even the two heavies are mentioned, mainly Tiger Ace and Super Pershing. What'll happen to those is a mystery.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

AB smoke tits are fine.
Marktarget is fine....
honestly brit officers get the shaft every fucking year.
just remove them all together and apply their buffs to the units as a base and increase cost.

Uh huh.
You know, this is fun, I can be the critical bastard now I'm not sat in the chair.
I can say things like, it takes 20-40 minutes out of a single day to put together competent patch notes (Most of this is logistics time arguing it out with the coder for specifics/practicality tbh, as the actual notes are thought about before hand more often than not) to send off to the coding department - who has been sat around with nothing to do for the past couple of months. Putting out a post is 30 seconds - 2 minutes at the most to confirm or deny if something is actually being addressed too. 5 Minutes if you want to add detailed reasoning.
It's piece of piss to find time to do it, even with an exceptionally busy lifestyle. It's a question of being arsed to do it.
Am I being harshly critical? Yes I am, but I've been sat waiting and watching for the past month or two patiently without saying an ill word against Myst as I genuinely believed (And still do) that he can get the job done.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I find it genuinely very very difficult to make any form of posts balance wise and even read the forum if one does not have the necessary internet connection due to moving to a new house and organize all systems to be done. On top of it to aquire a job and get all the other things into right order. During that time none of us would probably think about "Gosh I need to make a balance post in eirr." as a first thing of business.
But worry not, it will be soon Hicks. You know it Hicks? Soon(tm) that infamous word which nikomas mentioned about the new maps.

One would think previous Dev members would remember what it was like to have the community belittle them for not volunteering hard enough?
If there is someone else in the community with a similar skill set as Myst that wants the job, I am sure the dev team would be more than wiling to bring them on board. If not, then I guess we will all just have to wait for Myst to volunteer harder.
I don't think there is any need to start a lynch mob mentality over it.

Well, the problem is Niko is not allowed to make changes unless he is instructed to do so from the balance lead or another dev member. That's how the dev team ensure coders are not doing things they are not supposed to......
