Yeah EiRRMod stepped, down but it was the right call for his situation. Real life needs and responsibilities way before game responsibilities.
So while Development on the Launcher has halted, we still have people capable of affecting changes to the game files.
Additionally, we still have talented people with expertise in other areas which can(and I hope) will pitch in on a mod for CoH2. I myself have been taking stabs at the CoH2 tools. If we find the right group of people with ability in that area we can use the superior systems of CoH2 to make the product not only better, but easier to develop.
While I love the guy, he's not the bottom of the Jenga stack. It's a set back for sure, but not a collapse.

Hey guys, sorry to hear about the mod slowing down. I started on this mod in 2007 and it was my regular thing for a long time. Like niko said, there's still a thriving community at omgmod.org, which was once part of EIR until the split in 2009/2010.
A shame that things ended up this way.

EIR was a great game, disappointing that it has fizzled out. Joined in the golden age of rifles stealing panzershrecks  . First multiplayer community I got really involved in. Will always remember arguing with my parents because of my poor time management at dinner time . |
