Tbh, one thing that this period has really shown is separating which players have solid micro ability as opposed to those who got by on how well they understood doctrine synergies and effective company building.

As the title of this thread states, I've never had very good micro, but this vanilla environment and the troubles I'm having in it has really showed me how much I relied on my doctrine planning as a crutch for my bad micro.

I just want doctrines back soon so I can stop losing to clone ;_;

Yup, totally agree. Many of the "great players" are struggling now because they can't win in the company builder. It has clearly shown how screwed up the doctrine system was.

The new doctrines will be scrutinized much more and adjusted often to ensure we don;t have drastic swings in balance.

You missed my point here tank. I miss days when we had more units etc rangers, AB, hummel, hetzers and so on. Those units gave us more options in company builds and in what strategies to use. I agree that some doctrines where stupidly OP.

The way we are doing it now is what should have been 7 years ago. Balancing base units properly, then release a bit at a time and balancing that. Doctrines should never have been released with out the base game balanced.

The next big mistake was altering unit balance instead of adjusting the doctrines that caused imbalance. The attitude of the past was always "just get it out there and we will balance it later". Well, 7 years later we are balancing it later.........
