Notice it says Airborne M2 Carbines, Spare Mags.
Is M2 Carbine a Garand Equivalent in terms of damage? Worse? What is spare mags?

Spare mags give -25% reload and -50% cooldown for 15 seconds.
M2 carbines are single fire rifles that have very poor dps at long range, however, at short range, they become comparable to a BAR.

The way to read this, is that you have 6 bars at short range, without armor penalties?

It basically has the thompson penalties vs infantry armor types. So you are looking at a 25% damage reduction vs Elite and Airborne armor and an additional 15% accuracy reduction vs Heroic armor along with the 25% less damage.
If Alpha Tig's numbers at medium range the M2 is basically outputting MP44 close range dps excluding the weird burst modifier MP44s get when you are moving. Their close range firepower is greater than LMGs and you get a whole squad of them?
If you add spare mags you are looking at 200+ dps at short range on a unit with AB armor, fire-up for 135 muni? Has anyone tried attacking infantry halftracks with the M2 carbines? With 10% pen you are still looking at 20+ dps per second at close range with one AB squad?

Tried them.
They mulch through any kind of standard infantry, support weapons especially.
Other assault infantry though? They seem to struggle, even with spare mags active.

KCH and Assault Flammens? Or regular Assault grens and MP44 Storms? Tigs numbers make it seems like they should literally chop through anything if they are doing 127.62 dps on a full squad vs the soldier, airborne armor, 180 dps per second with spare mags on. It's a full 170.16 and 240 dps respectively vs infantry armor at short range.

So from what I gathered is that it is much more similar to a Thompson than a Bar?
And this ability/upgrade is only available to regular Airborne? Why not the AB Riflemen as well?

This is why you actually use the thing in question rather than immediately beeline-ing to Theorycraftland.
