hearts of iron is a tough game man. it takes a long time too. I'd rather play Strategic Command, a lot shorter lol

and  PrydainII i really think you're over reacting, he's not being racist. The Germans were running over everything and they made a lot of stupid decisions. If they'd focused their firepower in one or two concentrated places rather than hammering britain, garrisoning france, attacking russia and north afrika, they'd been a lot harder to dislodge. They should've taken care of Western Europe first, secured it and then went on to any bigger prises. Yes I know they had to be in north afrika because of the british down there but still.

and then the russia thing, huge mistake. He thought he could quickly win it but failed to think of the whole supply thing that a lot of commanders tend to forget (i.e. patton rushing east)

i dunno, i 'm just glad that the german gov't were idiots, couldn't imagine them still being around, we might still be at war.

Did you read my post Tym? I challenged him over his view, I expressed that I did not want to call him a racist but its one step away from "Britain alone against Germany is an easy win for Germany" to "Britain is a nation of fags".

The native Brits did not beat the Romans, however the British Isles where the only part of the Northern Roman Empire that needed a constant garrison. Hadrians wall was to keep the Picts out of contention of the Isles and unlike the other Roman territorys which provided native garrisons, no British tribe submitted to the Romans (it even got Boudica, queen of the Icenii/Eceni killed which made her famous). The Romans eventually left Britain, not only because of troubles in the imperial city but also because of the endless battles for the Isles.

So he is wrong but in a complicated way hes right.

The Roman Army (the true Italian soldiers) was actually very small (maybe around 100,000 men at peak), there were more auxiliaries than legionaries.
