I dont think that volks should cost as much as a riflemen unit :O, they are weaker and cant have as many good upgrades, oooo fausts -.-

Volks are cheaper than riflemen, still.  If you want to make them vastly more effective in an assault role, buy MP40s for 50mu.  If you want to make them better in a defensive role, keep them vanilla because they will beat riflemen at longer ranges.  If you want the best of both worlds, upgrade every other volk in your group.

In case anyone could not tell, I think the volks pricing is fine.

as newbie says, the current price scheme of volks being closer to riflemen is actually not so bad.  Having a larger gap between the base infantry was not a good thing, and you have many options with volks, including cheaper fausts atm.

just wait till the prices all revert back to before my work..

after seeing fausts in action, I'd much rather have a faust than sticky. one took out 30% of my Croc head-on, total BS.

Engine Damage/Destroyed/etc is MUCH more powerful than a health loss.  So stickies are still > fausts.

When I see riflemen, my little p4, panther, and king tiger runs away. They might have a sticky!

When I see volks, my sherman charges into them to blast and run them to smitherings. Did not expect the 'faust to blow my sherman to smithereens!

So no, fausts > stickies

Volks are great units to collect empty weapons like mgs, mortars and at-guns. The shrek is also nice.....I dont think that they have to be fixed in price....its ok!

With the decrease of starting MP from 10k to 8k manpower, I would've rather seen riflemen reduced to the 190 range and volks staying at 170. But I guess this works as well... I have bigger issues with the total MP decrease than with these costs.

Volks should have NEVER been increased to the RIDICULOUS price of 195 mp. Man for man, squad for squad a volk squad is ALWAYS INFERIOR to a rifleman squad at the current pricing and cost effectiveness.

Stop saying that volks are effective at long range. Show me the amount of times, you seen a riflesquad stay outside at LONG RANGE to slug it out with the volks as compared to the amount of times a riflesquad moved closer to fight at medium or even short range.

Additionally, 2 rifle squad, one with bar, for a price of 400 MP and 75 Munitions is MORE EFFECTIVE than 2 volks +mp40s at 390 MP and 100 munitions. They are simply less fragile and have more troops for recrewing weapons.

Just because fausts deal a one time damage they aren't necessary better than a 4 times used stickie... which should have been cheaper as well and have a reduction in usage.

If you allied players think that its easy to pull off fausts on shermans and crocs, its time to *learn some strategy*. If the axis players have to make do with the idea that any rifle squad could have stickies, so do the allies have to learn that any volk squad could have fausts.

I used to bring blobs of 4 volks all w/ fausts to take out allied tanks. They are lured into the false sense of security that I am defenceless and charge it into the middle of my blob... to get hit by 4 fausts = insta gib. However, if the sherman just clip out of range, the single charge is TOTALLY WASTED where as the stickies still have 3 more attempts.

Lets not forget that infinitely, rifleman are MORE VERSATILE than volks. They can be upgraded with BARs, Grenades & stickies, almost an instant all rounder and Vet 1 gives them 25% less received accuracy which is better than volks vet 1, just regen.

Additionally, once we add in doctrine upgrades which allows rifleman to build defences or have more hp... Its just not reasonably balanced. Throw any and all arguments you have and I'll beat it down =p

If volks are still worth getting, why are there more grenadiers now than volks?

volks can build defenses without a doctrine ability, so your argument there is moot. Also, the volks price isn't that expensive. 195? to the rifles 210? And then Your gren's are cheaper with one schrek than a ranger with 2 bazooka's and better? So please, should we raise the price of schreks and or grenadiers because a grenadier with a schrek is better than a ranger with its low hp and sorry gun when it doesn't have smg  upgrade and even then, I'll take a gren with a schrek and lmg over a ranger with smg upgrade.

the volks price was raised to 195 to counter the crazy spam we were seeing from certain people, it was just plain annoying to see volks after volks after volks and then have some of those same people use the assault exploit say "i bought it on one and forgot which one had it" so you use them all? BS.

i'm not going to say that volks are as good as rifles, they aren't, which is why they're 195 and not 210 but they're used in almost the same capacity, cannon fodder that's why the price raise. I swear, the axis bitch more about stuff than the allied players do and we're the ones always losing.
