meh, 57mm wasnt used all that much in the war, late part of it in 45.. would be more relistic to have airborne with zooks.

My point was that the 57mm wasn't some gigantic cannon slung on a strap fired from the hip while screaming a battle cry.

The 57mm was field tested in '44....it was THE American ATG of the European Theater.

At this point the Germans were using a 7.5cm PAK40 for most AT work.

But I don't see Tread Breaker as being an issue, just played a game and it really had no impact at all. PAK guns ruled the anti-tank role completely, alongside their trusty schrek companions.

Then yea, replaced for the most part with zooks. Just like most german formations had a ton of PF's.

I was under the impression that the 57mm RR began to replace the M1 Bazooka, not the other way around.

Until Korea, of course. Then they issued the 3.5-inch bazooka after the first few months.

Actually its not, its a redesign that can chamber American rounds. The 6pdr was similar and chambered British rounds.

Dont start tweaking around with the stats. Balance it through cost or recharge time. IMo, cost i okay, but recharge time is too little.

apparently this got ignored.  Oh well...now they are useless.

no, now the at ht stops tanks from charging at you and owning you, which gives you time to kill it but means the tank shot at isnt useless now

Thats what it did before.  Now it just damages engines...which means the tank can keep going.  And it can only do that once every 3(?) minutes...Stickies are a helluva lot cheaper with a much lower cooldown.

but at incredibly long range on a much faster platform, and IIRC 100% accuracy yes? but perhaps we should wait till we try stuff out ingame before judging on numbers

Again.  The ATHT doesn't serve ANY purpose except to take up pop if it isn't breaking treads.  Since it can no longer break treads reliably, its useless.
