i dont see how destroying/immobilizing allows you a chance to kill it but give it the chance to escape Roll Eyes damaging the engine slows them enough for you to get AT in or them to retreat.

well, don't use an ATHT on a cromwell, save it for firefly's, in the same way you wouldn't waste commandos on KCH

A Cromwell as as fast as a Panzer IV. Which means that it is roughly the same speed as a Sherman. It also has worse armor against most Axis AT weapons than the Sherman.

If you buy Flank Speed for the Cromwell, you are correct. Though that kinda is the point of buying it, to make it faster.

Doesn't Engine Damage disable Overdrive/Flank Speed?

I wonder if people would buy riflemen if all riflemen were good for were their stickies. A unit that sucks at everything, but has an ability you can buy that damages tank engines and knocks off like... 10% of a tanks health. They were literally shit at everything and had just the one ability. I bet people wouldn't.

Now increase the price, give them a fuel cost and give them a longer ranged version of a sticky that you could purchase.

I bet you still wouldn't buy that fucking unit would you?

The treadbreaker is the ONLY reason to buy AT-HTs. If you nerf it you make the entire unit worthless. It's just a glorified sticky launcher.

Whoever said fix it with the price was a genius. I'd say 120-125 munitions is fair.

I still use it in my PE company.   Instant engine damage from 45 range is extremely useful.   And if I can get a rear armor hit it still destroys the engine.

Seriously, how many times have you seen a sherman run up, get shot at by a pak/marder, and back off to repair at around half hp?    ATHT would make sure the sherman would never get away as it destroys engines from a frontal hit once the target is below 60% hp.

Saying the ATHT can do nothing else is also not true.  Focus fire is only 45 munitions and lets you basically wipe out or force retreat an infantry squad.  It also does decent damage to light vehicles as a supplemental AT unit.

I have 2 ATHT's in my opening call in and both have focus fire and tread breaker. I've got no complaints. I can stop tanks and schrek them, or i can engage and annihilate infantry. British officers go down like $2 hookers to focus fire and so do all those specialist infantry the allies get.

that means you spendet 550MP 100fuel and 280 munitions and 10 pop in this two units to act like a sticki and kill maybe 3 inf dudes until it is dead or has to run away?

what can we get for those an AT57mm a bar riflesquad with stickies and still have 100fuel left for an aditional "half" m10 or what ever?
that combination can cap can give engine damages like at halftracks can make a 360° suppression and the best thing is that it is able to actually kill tanks and vehicles....and ontop of this it is 1 pop less

Focus Fire is a lot deadlier than that.

Focus Fire is a lot deadlier than that.

it works just when the treadbreaker isnt moving, the firering rate slows down and it is NOT 1 shoot 1 kill

the treadbreaker was clearly broken in EiR:R but not because its ability to break treads and imobilize vehicles

it was broken because of the low repair rates the fact that the tank has to be fully repaired until it can drive away and because the pop that is so important in EiR and the lack of a self destruction button

but now it is turned in an overpriced useless unit
