Europe in Ruins: Reinforcements Improved Visuals MODThis is not another texture pack and it does not change any textures. This MOD enables the game to load the high quality textures when using the zoom out feature. This gives a huge improvement in visuals when the game is zoomed out. Improvements the at default view are minimal. CHANGES MADE ARE THE FOLLOWING:*Changes to LOD levels for textures, effects, splashes. *Increased render targets resolution to increase full detail texture radius to prevent blurry textures the further away they are from the camera. WARNING: The texture improvements may impact you frame rate. If you have enough RAM on you graphic card the performance penalty should be negligible. Frame rates will probably be unplayable if you do not have enough RAM. DISCLAIMER:I did not make this mod. It is an EiR:R adaptation of the VisualMOD created by Nebula: http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread.php?t=46475PLACEMENT OF FILE:Place the SGA file in the following directories: ...:\Program Files (x86)\THQCompany of Heroes\EuropeInRuins\Arcives...EIRRImprovedVisualsData.SGA DOWNLOAD THE FILES HERE: Download Improved VisualsNormal zoom out mode:Improved Visuals MOD:Improved Visuals MOD:In game visuals are better due to JPG compression artifacts. - SaintPauli [Edited by EIRRMod - Changed download link]

Oooh! Very cool! Does this solve the issue of units/objects disappearing when using the zoom out mod?

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.
That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.
Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Yes. Fog of war is not changed but Everything should have full detail when zoomed out. Unfortunately this does not (yet) solve the problem with shadows in the top of the screen.

Go into options and look at the graphic control section in there. U see that slider bar, pull it full right and that stops disappearing units That slider controls draw distances btw

Does this mod provide more texture/LOD detail than the maximum options settings? If so, I expect this mod will greatlly reduce the performance of lower end machines, like mine (2.2 gHz AMD Athlon 3500+ Single Core, 1 gb RAM, 512 mb Nvidia 8400 GS PCIe GPU).

Yes it does. My CoH is useing 1.5+ GB of Main RAM. You should not try and use this MOD with you current setup evem though the 512MB on the graphic card might be enough.

Everything is working now! (It was also working before since the zip-file contained the SGA-file and the readme. )

Improved what? It looks like low settings to me. Or is this for people who can't hack DX10?

It has nothing to do with the difference between DX9 and DX10. Why dont you try it out and then you come back and comment on it

I never have a problem seeing anything. I have a wide screen monitor and i can see units at the very top of my screen even with the zom out mod and zoomed way out. i'm always on the lowest setting, does this help that?
