I have noticed a rather large trend in the last bit towards players playing Wehrmacht over PE (take a look at the launcher atm), I am curious what doctrine people are playing most.

Defensive needs some serious buffs from their doctrinal abilities if the devs want it to compete with blitz, it shouldnt be just an arty doctrine with officer, and since its supposed to "defensive" it needs to beef up bunkers imo, which is the cornerstone of a "campy" defensive wehrmacht.

Until doctrines are in blitz will win every time. They get access to more stuff. They have an ability that breaks suppression and stuns blobs. They have a global ability that grants a movement and RoF increase. they get access to a heavy tank and storm troopers. Hell they also have an ability they can purchase that removes a support weapon obstacle from the field. I don't see why you wouldn't want to play a doctrine that has a solution for most anything

I dont think Blitz will have the same power when everything is finished. Then again defensive doctrine couldnt compete with either blitz or terror in old eir so i agree, they need some buffs otherwise you need to nerf both terror and blitz ( and i dont want to see that happen lol).

Or Blitz will have most of it's doctrine power in the form of physical units and not numerical changes to existing ones. I know they did away with unit cost changes but you can still have reduced call in timers. they could get a pack/unpack reduction bonus to HMG's and mortar's and ATG's. Only the stuff thats always been in vCoH is on the doctrine trees for the most part currently. power isn't always physical. Just currently.

I play terror, but i dont use any abilities, you wont let me go doctrineless Now put that ability that gave weapon crews longer ranger sight and damage then ill use abilities atm blitz is stupidly OP compared to the other docs.

Terror without Zeal just isnt the same. QFT. I once played a game where an LMG squad had 7 kills before being reduced to one barely surviving man. That fresh, vetless squad went on to get 42 kills, mostly AB, and vet 2 in a single game, through extremely careful use and Ferocity being used just to support that one squad. Defensive. Though I'll be changing it at next whipe. Really doesn't provide anything worthwhile. Arty is expensive, powerfull, but most players manage to dodge it. Not at guns though, lol. And the 88 is useless with the amount of artillery out there. And officer, he's basically one barrage then off the field. Blitz or terror just plain old offer more, not anything "wrong" with defensive, there is just no reason to pick it.
