the 1st time battle advantages was introduced (not available) i tought new people would get advantages ofcourse. but not like recon runs or supply drops. i tought they would get extra units!
i tought: new people kill less with the same amount of units, so give them some extra (random chosen) units, and game should be fair.
now that pro people can buy extra recourses for their company, and buy more units than newbs, supports this tought even more.

so this is the question: extra units(that you can choose from a list, or are random chosen) instead of recon runs ect. for battle advantages?

Battle Advantages may change down the road. But no.. it was never intended to give people 'Extra Units', Too many checks and balances with that move.

The battle advantages right now are a perk.. a perk that may have ultimately been a mistake due to the high rate of re-created accounts among good players. Or Smurfs if you will. The Advantages right now are a great tool for either side, mostly buffing anyone's Support weapon status. Not necessarily a win button. The addition of extra units would more or less cause the tides to break, depending on how many.. etc etc. at any rate, it wouldn't be as suitable as support weapon drops.

so you say just a tiny bit of extra units unbalances the game?
but with the advantages you can buy +1200 MANPOWER that are 6 rifle squads! not to mention ammo and fuel...

You give free units to people who are smurfing specifically to grief others.

That would be why none of the Advantages are arty strikes or anything else like that either.

then punish those people, i havent seen any of them btw.
and even if the smurfin ppl get extra units, so do their opponents from their PP. the advantage for the PP buyers, is that they still have more, and that they can choose exaclty what they want.

Then whats the point of "gaining" levels if you get "Extra" Units for free when you face higher level people. People should be rewarded for playing longer (or having no life as AmPM writes).

Obviously their shouldn't be huge gap between people, but then whats the point of a persistancy mod if you don't really "gain" anything if you put your time into the game?

The biggest issue right now is that fresh accounts do not receive any starting PPs based on how long the war has been running for... This puts them at a large discrepancy with 50+ game players with vet, RBs, offmaps, over-availability, etc.

We ARE bringing back that system mind you.

I don't think 2 engineers would be at all useful to anyone. Recon run > 2 engineers/1 Rifleman, IMO.
2 riflemen would also be rather useless. 3 Would become a bit OP.
I think it'd be too hard to balance, which is why the devs are not putting it in. I for one get newb advantages because I frankly can't play as much as some people, even though I may not actualy need them. But if it's being given to me, I'll take it - it's fair game.
