after fighting them awile the suprise wears off.  If you're kim bonkers two,  then I've faced your mandos enough to know they aren't all that bad.  Invicible to inf yes, but a sniper mg and some kinda armour can shoo em away.

My PE SE company has all 12 Pgrens used and i used to run G43's on all of them. 1 Squad would slow the commando's and the other would eat them. Smoke or not it doesn't break slow. I just kept running from them into ATHT w/Focus fire or other forms of support. I just wish I could still afford all the G43's, in a group they melt so many infantry types.

I thought commandos were 170 munitions?   It turns out they only cost 320 mp and 135 mun.  Thats barely more than KCH and a commando squad can beat two KCH plus it has smoke to get out of suppression.

Way too cheap IMO, I'm gonna go make a commando acct right now.

They did cost something like 170 muni at one point, and nobody used them.  Throw in commando mortars, piats and MG as well as grenades and demos and they will take up the majority of your munitions and leave you without many bren tommies.  Commandos are really nice but make for a somewhat fragile company, if your call-ins don't do as much damage as they should then you really struggle later on.

The KCH should be better then Commandos hell the Storm Troopers should eat them Iam not sure the sneaky thing works for the Storm Troopers based on what the units actually did maybe the Falls should be this type of unit but Storms should be shock Troops that can go toe to toe with any infantry and cause havoc to the enemy lines...

Just from a history stand point but I know its how things work in the game ...

From a history standpoint there shouldn't be any KCH, or Storm Trooper squads for that matter afaik.  KCH medal holders didn't form their own squads and ST were a WW1 formation.  Fail realism arguements fail (even when they are historically accurate).

Commando's are pretty retarded right now.

Ran a squad yesterday, ran through HMG fire, LMG grens, Assault troops, and so on.

Left the field with 22 infantry kills and a tank kill after stealing a schrek.

KCH came from different battalions (it would be nice to have your vet gren get to be KCH) I know but the Storm Troopers did take part in WW2 even though they begin has trench busters in WW!....

At work today, I was thinking the Commando Tree was pretty fucking awesome and decided I wanted to reroll commando, then I come home and see this thread which is going to mean Commandos are going to be nerfed into the floor Sad.

Can we hold out a few weeks on nerfing it so I can enjoy leet commandos ?

What makes them really better than other elite infantry, is the fact they have a better opening with their stens on long range, 6 guys with stens, shooting at whatever is coming at them, or even if they are charging will plainly kill more. They rip KCH apart at mid to long range.
Close quarter combat may be in KCH's favour, but i wouldn't be so sure about that.

At the moment, the only real counter are tanks. Drive a tank into them and they will retreat. Two for example won't risk them getting squashed by a lucky tank, especially with coh's fucked up pathing Tongue

Double lmg grens is another example of unit that has to be countered with vehicles.

Baine, Commandos have terrible long and mid range accuracy so they don't tear anything up at those distances, their moving accuracy is also poor.  I've chased axis infantry halfway across the map Benny Hill style with mandos and barely killed anything.  They are vicious at short range but until they get there they aren't doing much.

Commandos do fantastic damage when they get into short range and you hit stop, although units such as Storm Troopers with assault rifles do better moving damage I think.

Not really, but the snipers don't need 6 shots against grens Wink

STG44 moving accuracy = 0.75
Sten moving accuracy = 0.5
LMG42 moving accuracy = -10000
So STG44s gotta get mandoz moving, and mandoz gotta get LMGs moving. Simple ^^.
