Hey, why some tanks have aim time and some don't ? This creates unfair advantage for those that don't have aim time because they can fire instantly and sometimes that 1 shot earlier can win or loose you.

Imo all tanks should be without aim time or all tanks with same aim time,  not some with and some without because its unfair.

I disagree it is 'unfair'

Company of Heroes is all about different units, with different abilities, using alternate methods to blow the shit out of each other.

If everything was the same, we would have a game of chess.

IMO

i would like an aim time on all tanks and LV´s this would change the game to a less vehicle based gameplay and tanks would be sth cool.
+ new cool doctrine abilities would be possible... like - 50% aim time

but i wont happen

Aim time's bearing on combat is miniscule, iirc. I really don't notice unless it's the StuG, and that's terribad anyway.

If not, then I wipe, then someone gets something they shouldn't, then it gets abused, then the shit hits the fan and then I ban shab.

Aim time's more of a thing that you notice in one of two scenarios:

1. You're attempting to, or are being, circle strafed.

2. You're trying to get a shot on a target at your max range.

Faster turret rotations help soften the blow for both of these. LV's, Medium tanks and TD's usually don't have a problem. Dedicated heavy tanks and fixed turret TD's/Assault Guns tend to.

On a side note, I've lost track of how many max range Pershing shots against inf I've lost out on thanks to aim time. -.-'

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

At the same time, Aim-time is the thing that lets you stop before firing instead of always popping off moving shots. Your tigers probably actually appreciate having it when trying to take a pot-shot against infantry at long range.

Yeah. Bit of a double-edged sword.

Probably more in favour of the gain side rather than loss though, as you said.

The only thing that I think should have a aim time that currently doesn't or doesn't have long enough is the 88.

The 88 is extremely good at popping off long range shots incredibly quickly and in my opinion should have a fairly minor aim time.

You also have to think about the fact that it has to rotate too, but I could see it getting changed slightly.

The fact that it normally has to rotate is aim time enough, if it's lucky enough to point in the right direction I see no problem with a fast shot. You have to keep in mind with most tanks you can rotate them towards what you need to shoot, not so with emplacements.

You can pre-rotate 88's by using attack ground. They now stay pointing wherever you leave them.

Done it a few times to fun effect.

The 88 has a greater effective cone of fire due to it's longer range as well, don't forget that.
