but the tiger has the highest splash of any tank gun, the Pershing is close but not equal.

Pershing:

Well shit, if you really want to count the .3 for long range, the Tiger splash is ever so slightly longer.

The splash that matters? Pershing kicks the shit out of it. Double the short range and 25% bigger medium range.

The ONLY time that a Tiger is better than a Pershing is in a direct Pershing to Tiger confrontation. Every other situation will favour the Pershing due to it's speed and smaller profile. This is without taking into account environmental factors (Everything else that happens around the tank itself)

Accel and Decel as well as moving accuracy are identical between the two. Speed however is 4 for the Tiger and 5 for the Pershing.

Yes, lets compare a T4 to a base unit.

Let's also disregard the fact that the T4 in question also comes with major drawbacks.

Though on Vanilla basis Pershing will indeed outperform Tiger due to the speed.

When we go to Doctrine buffs- this will be entirely different.

Supposedly from all the available buffs Pershing gets the largest cake.

You get several benefical and good T3s which grants you ability to Move and Shoot WHILE REPAIRING! and on top of it dual repairs and a Recon that spots all available Support weapons and reveals the location of possible AT threats.

You also get to choose from making Pershing more AT role while tossing away its splash to be able to tackle its nemesis Tiger and all other forms of armor that can't run away from it. Heck Pershing has damage modifiers versus Pumas while Tiger doesn't have damage modifiers versus M8s (or does it?).

I haven't toyed with armor company all too much but I'm fairly sure those who do it knows many more combinations they can build to.


Let's look at the Tiger and see what do we get for it.

T4 Lightning War, to increase its speed to 5 to match Pershing.

T3 Mobilie smth. Ability to repair, shoot and roll around on its tracks.

T3 Panzer Aces. Ultimately the best armor buff for any Tank players. +10m more sight and ability to switch between fire speed, line of sight and accuracy.

T3 HEAT rounds. Beneficial when fighting infantry, versus Armor you don't see much difference without additional damage brought by vet 3.

From the good available T3s you may only pick up 2 or if going for T4 you will be able to pick just one. I'm fairly sure 80% of people who will go for T4 will pick Panzer Aces and go directly to Elite armor grenadiers/stormtroopers. Rest will run it with Panzer Aces and HEAT rounds. Someone might be using Top T3.

To support Tiger's further there are abilities which comes handy. Blitzkrieg, Precision Strike, Double repairs, and Recon. 2 T3s 1 T2 and 1 T1.

I'm not sure but something makes me tell Tiger gets medicore doctrine buffs compared to the Pershing but that is my opinnion.
