Shouldn't the scout car have some kind of sight bonus? Now that all of the PE doctrines don't get the option to upgrade to a radio equiped scoutcar they are kind of pointless to take. Especially with their doctrine upgrade not working. I think that they might be a little more worth taking if they had some kind of sight range to equal the "scout" part of their name. What do the rest of you think?

a lockdown ability that increases LOF would be perfect,

I am pretty sure that they have the same LOS as other light vehicles like the AC.

They can cap territory though, you have the armed schiwmmwagen as well.

capping territory with something that is immune to small arms fire would be really useful, but that thing is easier to kill than a regular pg squad...why would you use it?

I agree, I would rather use an infanty squad to cap that can actually fight back if they encounter an enemy squad. The only real bonus to this is the added mobility. Even though it is immune to most small arms there are still light weapons that damage it. (Bren with button, can take off quite a bit of health).

How is a scout car easier to kill than a regular PG squad?  It has vastly more hp against small arms and is fast and mobile.

scout car is used primarily to harass the enemy by capping territory, if you see something come after it, you don't fight, you get the scout car out of there and send it somewhere else on the map and cap there.

If you want to go by the reasoning that you need to cap with it and run when you see other forces don't you think that it should have a little bit larger sight range so that it can see the enemy coming?

No because you're not supposed to scout with it.

Its fast enough to run away from practically anything.  Last game I played with PE i got a scout car away from a T17 twice.  I'd like to see you do that with a regular infantry squad.

lol then at least it seems that we have a naming fail (which doesn't matter). All I am really asking for is a unit other than the Ketten that can be used as a scouting unit. It would only make sense that the "scoutcar" would be that other unit. The ketten is just too soft to be a really good scout that is unless you get the ability to cloak them.

in that particular example the scout car is indeed good, i just dont get enough out of them to be worth it imo. they accidently enter an AT gun los...dead.

each to their own.

dude, only use kettens if you are luff w/ cloak or SE w/ firecracker mines.
Otherwise just stick to armed swimms which are better than bikes tbh because they can reverse and travel faster in water.

In that case please rename the scout car to "Capping territory vehicle"
And the m18 to "TANK DESTROYER/HUMAN LAWN MOWER"

Don't see why a SCOUTING vehicle shouldn't have good sight.

It's not easy to vet up

The MG on the scoutcar sucks so much.

If you played vCoH then you would know that Scout Cars were never really the anti-sniper/scouting vehicles that their name and in-game description made them seem to be.

If you never played vCoH then yes, the name is quite misleading.
