So I think the calli could use a little bit of loving as things are. First off I'm old school so I miss those 2-3 calli companies with duel rocket racks! But for a platform of comparison I will use the hummel because I've fought against uglysoris PE company numerous times and we usually have both these units on the field. So let's first look at units.

Hummel 10 pop
460 mp
340 fu
Repair 60mu

Calli 12 pop
500 mp
365 fu
Smoke 30mu, reprair 60/2nd (with AWM) 80mu

I'll be adding more to this later (I'm at work atm!) but I'd like to see peoples opinions on both units either way.

Well the Cali just got a significant price reduction last patch already. I think that's enough love atm. Smiley

But hummels have the options of being really good, for the calli this isn't quite so. Uglys hummel is incredible. And I believe he has both T3s. Calli is not so lucky, yes the T4 which gives you access to its main is awesome, but it comes with quite a bit of risk since you have to bring it to the front lines for it to shine. But its risky, although if oyu have AWM you get a second repair, ringing it to the front will most likely pay off if you keep an eye on it.

It would be great if there was the option of getting a tier that buffs the calli in the actual arty department. Because to be honest, unless you go NGV there is totally no point in getting a calli, heck, even most people that do go NGV rather have pershings and shermans. **i've been saying NGV, but I mean urban combat**

If it got something along the lines of, shoots 25% more rockets, shorter cool down, slightly more damage, or splash via a tier it would balance out it's 12 pop.

and why aren't you comparing it to priest?

callie does not need unit buffs , if anything the pop should go to 10 and that's it.

i played with spartan who had a calli, he used it more like a sherman but avoided tank battle and rather used the rockets when blobs or enemy armour or a large blob of infantry came, at close to mid rande the barrage is super effective vs blobs.

The only issue I have with the pop reduction is that with the T4 it basically becomes an regular 75mm Sherman which would give a distinct advantage of calling one in with your initial 25 pop call in.  Not sure how to balance that.

not realy,  callie is slower and costs alot more than a regular sherman, risking such a unit on front is not the greatest idea.

give it a main gun, pair it with an atg and you will rarely lose it. And if you do lose it, its usually to about 2-3 times the atrition of what the callie is worth

Have the Calliope leave incendiary patches on each of it's rockets.

How fun would THAT be?

I mean, it would be like...

...Carpeting an entire area In flames...

...Wait a minute.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

QFT, it would be such a great risk to open with a calli too, though it intrigues me enough to try it. Also

give it a main gun, pair it with an atg and you will rarely lose it. And if you do lose it, its usually to about 2-3 times the atrition of what the callie is worth

And trust me unless you are being micro intensive and keeping it simply at the read, I'm sure you'd easily lose the calli to mobile AT.

Opening up with a calli is just plain stupid, I even played a few games doing it just to see how it worked, it's totally terrible.

Also you can't field a well made company with 2 callis, it's impossible, you can't have enough AT on the field because it takes up so much pool value. In the end I think calli could use a pop cap decrease to 10 like all other mobile arty.

With urban survival kit I would totally use the Calli in my initial call in if it was 10 pop.  But maybe I am just crazy.

It's stupid, you have the enemy team send a shit load of stuff after it and it's not too hard to kill unless you and your team mates are watching the cali. Trust me I played a few games with it and it just doesn't work well. It makes more sense to wait until you have 35+ pop cap so you can defend it. Plus if you try to run a company with two callis it is nearly impossible to set up and you have very limited AT.

Rarely have, im on most days, willing to prove it

Only thing thats a threat is a Dual Schrek Stormy squad, and thats a threat to anything on wheels

With the T4 my cally has Main gun (kills 1-2 inf a shot), Sherman Armor, and a 12% damage reduction to everything
