If there was a way that we could save our company configuration and be able to import it.

Advantages:

1. Sharing of company builds
2. Ability to try new strats more frequently
3. Good for newer players who do not have to worry about vetted units ect.
4.  Allow folks to post their company setups with their replays to show how bad ass they were.  Hell if we can get a graphical representation if it that would be even more cool.

Problems with implementation and solutions.

1. I can see a problem where vet units get wipped out when applying a new template
2. Templates for units that your company cant support, aka manpower or special units or abilities; Solution, have it trunk it.
3. A black market might spawn the OP Company configurations that are super uber and win 100% time. (JK)

Conclusion

This may help newer players try out new strats and setups and get into the game that much faster.  The initial setup of companies and ect, may hinder folks getting into action faster to get a taste of Europe in Ruins before they loose interest.

Plus it would be just damn cool when setting up a new company.

Yeah I was going to say, use the search button lol. In the shit... damn... 4 years? I've been involved with this community I can't tell you how many times I've seen that suggested, we should have some posts somewhere where people would post their builds (just take screen shots) was cool seeing how other people set up their companies.

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

mortar is to expensive

since i skip these overpriced axis support weapons (mortar, mg42, nebel ...) i have a chance to close the distance to the stuff i can field as allies

@topic

i would never share my super special companies

it is an important part of eir to design companies fitting to your playstyle...

but an automatic resupply after battle would be nice

Personally, this is the single most important issue. Rebuilding the company again is so tedious it moves me from playing this mod daily to just not playing it at all.

It's that big of a deal to you to rebuild your company? I know it can be annoying, but its not that big of a deal tbh.

It also means you can adjust your company as necessary.

Meh, filling in every little last thing to where it was previously; ergo replacing X compisition of volks and MGs in certain call-ins...that gets annoying trying to remember what went exactly where after a while. Then you end up getting pissed and just jamming 25 pop of a random jumble of shit in...lol...

na, I think just posting on coy compisition would be fine. No need to port the shite around, just screen it or type it.

I think I've got my Armoured, infantry, Commando and RCA builds all committed to memory at the moment.

Really, just play the game long enough and it sticks to ya. I do wish I could forget at times actually, and not be afraid to break the mould a touch.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

It's something we've wanted to do for a long time actually. Particularly in regards to 'preset companies'. Having some community made templates that new players can 'load' at the click of a button would go a very long way in making eir more accessible and comprehensible.

I completelly agree. Somebody new can get into the game without having to think all the way how to fill his company paying attention to all the restrictions, resource limitations, etc. And even if he loses most of his company, he can rebuild it with just a click and maybe some minor changes.

As he gets to know the game better, he will start implementing more serious changes, focusing on one particular tactic, etc; and modifying the basic template. This would greatly improve EIR's learning curve, in my opinion.

Besides, the convenience of rebuilding the company with a simple click will benefit all players, not only the newer ones. As I said earlier, is something I find so tedious I rarely play because of it, especially when I have suffered heavy losses.

But the point is man, that your company composition should be easily memorable. If you set it up logically and even remember your main focus point of your company you can build it back together in about 30 secs to a minute.
