As I said in the Field Dressing thread, I suggested a potential replacement for it.

Considering how haphazard FD can be the best of times and under the most ideal circumstances, why not change it to something a little more reliable yet risky in a different way?

Instead of running and picking up a downed man, each squad that buys the replacement for FD will get two uses of reinforce when they are in range of a Triage centre to reinforce. Each squad still gets their two men back, they cant instantly replenish their strength in the middle of combat, and taking out the Triage becomes all the more important.

This also gets around any issues that FD has with giving correct weapons back to people that they pick up. Reinforced infantry always give back correct heavy weapons as long as the squad allows for it and the weapon isn't dropped if I recall.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I also wanted to suggest reinforcements could be obtained from the spawn as well, but having it available at the triage would save you time.

2 reinforcements on rangers is more of  T3 unlock than a T2. Fallschrims get medkit drop as a T3 unlock, replacing dead men is quite good.

DarkSoldier, this is EXACTLY the same thing as FD, with the exception you actually WILL be able to get your two guys back as long as you keep the squad and your Triage in one piece.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I don't like the idea of any squad in an EIR environment getting to reinforce, least of all ranger squads. Would your suggestion include uses? As in, once the 2 men have been reinforced, would they be able to reinforce again later?

The only way I'd support something like this is if the cost of the ability was 2/3 the cost of a full ranger squad and only had one use. MAYBE.
MAYBE.
But probably not.

Clearly Malgoroth has read neither the original post thoroughly or any of the replies.

Clearly your idea is still bad.

Now how about instead of being a faggy british guy, you tell me how much you think reinforcing two guys should cost?

As of now it's 25mu for rangers, 15mu for rifles and engs. Which first off, engs should be 10 not 15.

This is some axis qq you got going mal, an ability that costs 2/3 of a ranger squad to get back 2 guys? Even by your logic it should only cost 1/3, why would you pay for an ability to get 2 men in a ranger squad back when you could pretty much just buy a new ranger squad if I'm reading you correct.

Either way the concept is already in, a nearly useless ability in its current form.

I called Hicks british to get under his skin. I think he's corrected me like a a dozen times now in vent when I call him that.

And thanks for pointing out my bad math, Riki. 1/3 is what I meant. Down 2 guys in a squad? No pop for anything else, really? Well fuck; you payed the cost of 2 guys extra, so reinforce that shit. See? It'll have uses with a cost like that.
I also said I didn't like the thought of ANY squad in EIR getting a reinforce ability. I just don't think it fits with gameplay.

I like the fact that its current form makes it useless.

Mal, gtfo my thread tbh.

This is a suggestion, I'd rather the devs read it without filtering through your uneducated trash.

Ok, 1/3 would make more sense. and i think id be more happy about paying MP than MU for downed squad members.

Yeah, 410-420 mp for a squad of Rangers.

It'd be pointless, your better off just fielding more squads and having more munitions based weapons around or having a few more squads of Riflemen to back you up.

The whole point of the ability being reliant on the Triage was to give it some risk, you'd negate the whole army's ability to replenish squads by taking out that one structure.

Then again, that might require some intelligence on the axis players parts, so I'd be asking too much considering the loudest axis players seem incapable of that.

Can't stand criticism eh?

I'm sorry your idea is bad Hicks, no need to get sand in your vag about it.

Don't post ideas if you can't accept opposition. It's revealing that you'd rather just have people who disagree with you "gtfo" than defend your suggestion. Not much faith in the balance of your own ideas I see...

But whatever.

Reinforcing on the field still doesn't fit in EiR. Having it basically cost the same as 2 men from the squad would help make it so. You would be able to fill pop. Not OP. You shouldn't get units for a discount in the middle of a battle. That's a little fucked up.

I'm absolutely fine with criticism, I'm not fine with people like you.

I've defended my suggestion, even put a glaring weakness in my suggestion, but for the reason that I'm not fine with people like you, you've completely and utterly overlooked it. Hardly surprising.

Not get units for a discount?... Heh, I hate to break it to you, but this discount you speak of already exists in the form of Field Dressings, I'm just suggesting a way to make it work reliably.

And if you really, really want to get into not liking criticism? What was the first thing that you did when the Allies won the Scenario? You SCREAMED that it was biased towards the Allies, rather than accept the possibility you may have been out played, which you were.
