Regardless of personal experiences and bias, it's vastly superior to units that perform similar roles (GMC for example) while still being cheaper. I don't think anyone in their right mind can argue that the Stummel can completely stay where it is in its current form. Whether it needs just some minor tweaks or a major overhaul, that is something up for discussion.

I don't normally make public statements in regards to unit balance, but it's clear a lot of people here are letting personal bias cloud their sense of balance.

Meh, I've not seen it much and I've not used it, so I don't really know. From what I saw, I assumed it was a LEIG on wheels. I guess not?

I've tried using the GMC and it failed horribly.

Every time I faced the GMC it failed to inflict any noticeable damage and was easily dispatched.

Is the GMC good for anything at all?

GMC is a mix between a leig and a mortar ht. Much better in pairs than on their own, they can shoot over hedgerows and have a massive splash. EliteGren is highly adept at using them.

Yeah, in my opinion the gmc is a bit weak and probably needs a slight buff, where as the stummel is just a tad bit too strong. Don't nerf it to the gmc because that sucks. If it takes two of the same unit for it to be effective then that unit is to weak. Like I said you are going to have to be very careful how you balance the stummle. I think if you made it a tad slower in reverse or slower in general lower its accel/deccel then that would be enough of a nerf to it. The problem is right now it's too fast. You can get away from manpacked AT way to easy.

hmm by itself in the lone battlefield ya it will get owned by ATG or m10.... but not RR or zooks. B/c its amazing accuracy, speed, armor, damage to inf will make using any form of inf suicide. People are saying this is only good against noobs.... no its good to use unless your a noob and dont use it as properly.

If it sucks so bad or is not OP.... make GMC equally impressive. Say goodbye to any inf you may have on the field.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

Honestly, this should have been included in the last patch. The community has pointed it out well before it came out - This 'temporary fix' shouldn't even be necessary.

And yeah, units that can routinely one shot half a rifleman squad at excessive ranges with high mobility IS something that needs to be addressed rather quickly.

DarkSoldier, if your so keen to please the devs, go and learn how to code the RGD's rather than trying to jump to their defense the moment somebody makes a point.

(Oh, btw, I do appreciate the hard works the devs do, but the Stummel fix is a *Wee* bit overdue.)

I am not keen to please the devs, I am keen to show the truth and nothing but the truth. Its a temporary fix because they forgot it, if your so keen to critizize the missing of a change in a patch, why dont you go ahead and learn how to code the RGD's rather than try to jump up in arms the moment somebody makes a mishap or doesnt have the time to do something.

They clearly said this is getting fixed next patch. There is nothing more to say until this patch is released to re-judge the units effectiveness. Saying the same thing over and over after judgement has been made does nothing.

This man speaks the truth. We only patch rgds on regular time intervals (i.e a monthly schedule, with the exception of urgent hotfixes) so pricing is how we can get by in the meantime. I know it's pretty insignificant, but it's still something and should be an indication for you guys that we have taken note of the issue. I agree perhaps we could have done something about the unit sooner, I guess we must have overlooked it, it happens, we're sorry.

The Stummel WILL be addressed next patch.
