Why not, trench fighting could mean melee combat. And trench melee was brutal to the extreme.

bayonets (on and off the gun), trench knives, brass knuckels, swords, shovels, picks etc.

Personally i like the idea of build your own trench

Melee combat for CoH, sweet. Soviet human waves with bayonets, even better. I knew the game was missing something important.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

i agree korea often gets over looked which i think sucks because it still had a lot of the same intensity of WWII, except with US vs Soviet weaponry. first helicopters too.

WWI would be interesting, but im not sure if there is enough to keep things engaging.

modern combat i think is fine, BF2 was a great game and project reality multiplies that times a million. its the call of duty series that really went far too over the top with modern warfare, but that's a whole other can of worms for me to bitch about.

i havent stayed up to date with any of the medal of honor series so not sure how those panned out.

but brothers in arms was quite a cool concept the way it was done!

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

LV spam would be the cavalry units!

there would be no cover system, when you spawn on map you dont click where to go, your men lined up in columns would just walk towards the center  Cheesy

Except for the American Doctrinal units that gain cover bonuses!!

Don't forget German, French and Indian mercenary units for doctrines!

For serious?

Actually, come to think of it, the majority of the mod stands in the launcher... Yeah, I can kinda see how that would work.

Sweet - Lets just hope CoH2 aint a flaming bag of crap then so EiR v2 has something decent to build off.
Logged

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Well Nevyen and I back when DOW2 was released actually discussed a DOW2 version for EIR, but it didnt fit till the expansions came out with Chaos etc in it.

The game engine sucked though, so nothing came of it.

I hope, if it is COH2, that A. It doesnt suck and B. If it IS good, that it can be modded.

Seeing as how Relic isn't the biggest fan of their game being modded, I wouldn't have too high hopes.
