Homeworld in eir style would sux tbh, it would be just boring.
Fleet management + crew and captain tweaks + upgrades.

HW3 would be a good EIR spinn-off, but Id rather do COH2.

Even if it uses the DOW2 engine, I could make it work ;p

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

What would be even cooler would be EiRR: Modern Combat.

Why?

Well.. You get the awesomeness of EIRR

You get the Modern Combat of CoH Modern Combat.

Stir well and mix for a few minutes.

Bada bing, bada-boom, you just made the most popular mod in the world.

Wow, everybody always thinks the logical step after WW2 is Vietnam. What about the Korean War? You could have 2 Allied and 2 Enemy factions (Americans and British, North Koreans and Chinese), plus that war was much more interesting than Vietnam. Plenty of tank battles, massive assaults and the like.

Maybe they should. A lot of epic crap went down in both those wars, but nobody cares because Hollywood loves the other two big ones.

I fucking hate modern warfare and want to stab anybody who states it's a "KEWL IDEA ZOMG".

The person that thought of BF2 and started this retarded craze is first on my "private scorn to-kill list" once i'm rich and can afford assassins.

WW1 is actually fucking boring. It's people sitting in trenches for 4 years dieing of flu, trench foot and occasionally artillery fire.

Korea could be good.

Everyone thinks that the majority of World War I took place in the trenches and those people are... right for the most part. However, there were plenty of infantry engagements and even the world's first tank battle, but everyone always says, "trenches are boooooring, want more Nazis to kill!". It's not like a game based off it would HAVE to take place in the trenches anyways. Game developers can bend the rules, they sure as hell did it for CoH. I guess nobody really wants to give it a chance though.

CoH is a 5 year project. So far 3-4 (CoHO?) have been released, and there have been several hints that relic is working on a new coh:

"We are excited to reveal the next evolution of the series in the near future". - Relic

http://pc.ign.com/articles/114/1147315p1.html

"Everyone at Relic appreciates the love that fans clearly have for the game, and hope that you'll be pleased with what we're working on as the next step for the franchise". - Relic

http://www.companyofheroes.com/announcements/one-week-left-for-coho

And on twitter, Tasker(a relic developer) has said there is "more cool COH stuff coming".

So no tank, it is not just wishful thinking, those messages from relic are pretty clear and I'm fairly confident that it will be a CoH announcement.

Thanks Elite, that information seems a lot more accurate. I look forward to it happening.

Honestly, the only way they could do this is either the Early engagements(1914-1915) Before the line extended and stagnated or follow(campaign story) the exploits of the Canadian Divisions(probably Vimy onwards) because they were the fastest moving and most successful army in the conflict.

Why not, trench fighting could mean melee combat. And trench melee was brutal to the extreme.

bayonets (on and off the gun), trench knives, brass knuckels, swords, shovels, picks etc.

Personally i like the idea of build your own trench

very very very very very very very, I can keep saying it but why bother combat wounds were actually caused by Bayonets or Melee weapons. It is a rare form of combat because 1 side inevitably breaks and runs. Humans as social animals do not like interpersonal aggression. Especially the up in your face kind that is a Melee fight.

Korea would be nice, nothing super high tech but everything on the cusp of technology and people still finding their feet with it. besides there is a boatload of epic battle stories from the Korean War.
