i forgot about DH, yes infantry combat in that is great! i never ventured to drive tanks though.

Usually when my weapon gets shot out of my hands I hit the dirt and stay the fuck down - Your next weapon gets pulled out and that's either a sidearm or your trusty grenade.
Latest patch in DH made it so leg shots trip you over, and more importantly, kills dont pop up until 5 seconds after they happen... Meaning you CAN actually play did for a moment to confuse your enemy into thinking they've got their kill. Especially handy in hectic situations where the enemy is dealing with more than one target.
Stay on the ground, and send a grenade in the direction the fire came from, or get ready to retaliate with a few rounds of your sidearm.

lol trust me dont talk to me about getting hit with RPGs and IEDs out of no where. I got hit by plenty of those. But i could also tell that while i can iron sight a target at 500m, i still carried tons of ammo. B/c you cant one shot every moving target, and such things as suppressive fire do exist still. and 1000s of rounds do get exchanged without anyone side being hit.
Anyways im talking about a game, or games, that cant nail shooting correctly, or rather they just ignore the aiming aspect of it. Shame all you gathered from my whole spiel is that people can die in a matter of seconds. My point was, there is no intense action or realistic 5000 round firefights in these wannabe realistic games. People think its pew dead, pew dead, pew pew dead. While ya it can be like that, doesnt mean it always has to be. FH obviously is a hard worked mod, but again feel its missing the thrill of combat part of the game.
Whats DH stand for? That caught my interest.

Im starting to like playing with the Garand now, owning pretty nicely, need people to play with tho, alone not as fun.

I dont know about you, but every single Rifle that can, I instantly attach the bayonet as soon as I spawn.
Actually, does it have any affect on long range accuracy? I'd imagine extra weight on the front of the barrel of your gun may skew accuracy slightly if your not used to it...

Some classes have a knife for melee, some classes have bayonet for melee, it takes quite long to select it, animation of putting the bayonet on the rifle, and I dont think you can shoot when the bayonet is on it, you switch back to your rifle to shoot bullets and bayonet is gone.
Me and Leo gonna play some now, people.. join us on vent, pro teamwork, capturing towns and pwning.

Ahh, you must be referring to Forgotten Hope.
I'm referring to Darkest Hour... In DH, you have no such foolishness of weapon changing for your bayonet, and all weapons are free to use melee with. :p
It's pretty cool being able to fire your Rifle with or without your bayonet attached - Precisely why I stick the thing on as soon as I spawn, one stab the the chest and it's game over for the poor sap on the pointy end.

Finnaly got BF2 and the mod! I'm still confused on where I am supposed to enter the FH2 password at and as to why my High graphics aren't as good looking as the ones in the videos. I must be doing something wrong.

Nevermind, I fixed it by running the mod through its own shortcut instead of BF2 like the FAQ help said.
Pretty awesome mod, although I'm having a hard time connecting as usual.

it gave me a shortcut on my desktop auto.
as to the connecting did you make sure you updated Punkbuster?

I read somewhere on how to update it, but I didn't quite understand how, I downloaded another program that I added BF2 too and found updates for it, was that how I updated Punk Buster? Or is there another way?

i never tried this but i heard turning AA off adds the effect of a fuzzy screen when u get shot. But cant get that if AA is on

The game is good still, if you played it a year earlier from now you would know what i mean
although i did enjoy side shotting tanks from the front, it required some skill to do but was very rewarding
